Default How Much Non-IM Copy Do You Write?

Just something I've been curious about for a while. How much business do the freelance copywriters on the forum do for other businesses and non-IM/affiliate products?

Occasionally Relevant.

I know there's a fortune in IM but I can't stand it. I rarely take an IM assignment.

I've done both - although a lot of my business is offline. Since I started copywriting though, I have done quite a few things in IM. But, for me, the mainstay of my work is offline for local businesses, plus I just recently got picked up by an agency in Saudi Arabia who have decided to keep me on long term.

Depends on the month.

I write both offline and online copy. I write copy for numerous niches besides IM.

I like the variety because it helps keep the work exciting and fresh for me. Most full-time copywriters choose to specialize in a niche or niches.

Hope that helps,

Mike

I'll write for anything as long as it honest and ethical.

I would say 70/30 - most of my clients are not in the IM Niche....if they can pay my rates and its a topic that I enjoy - I go for it..

Most -- as in, probably 80% or more -- of what I write is for the financial/investment niche... although I do write for the health & nutritional supplement and IM niches from time to time. Plus, on occasion, I'll take on some catalog copy for old time's sake.

I used to write a lot more IM copy when I worked for Clayton over at ResponseInk and The Total Package. Back then, it was probably closer to 60% financial, 10% health & nutritional, and 30% IM.
