Hello, I have 250 subscribers with 5 follow-up emails. I am converting 2.5% of them on a $10 product which seems pretty low for that cheap of a product. Do you think I need more subscribers before I can say that is my average conversion rate? Or do you think 250 is enough to say that even if I have 2,000 subs I will only convert 2.5% of them? Thanks! |

Assuming 25% opened, and 40% clicked through, your actual conversion rate would be much higher. But you didn't ask that. In answer to your question, you'll need a larger number of subs before you can predict future results with any accuracy. Alex

The other factor is the relationship you have with your list. If you've had it a long time and have communicated with them frequently then your response rate will be higher than cold optins.

Looks to me like you need to get the open rate higher. For every 5% you raise it, if your current numbers hold, you'll make 2 extra sales. But you really do need more throughput before you can consider your numbers accurate and quotable. Alex

You are doing 5 follow-up emails on a $10 product - what's the frequency on the auto-responders like. That is how long from sign-up to sales page? If I can be of help... |

Are you resending your "non opens" with the same e-mail that has a *different* subject line? If so, are those statistics included? If not, you might want to try it and see if your conversion % increases. |
