I'm struggling putting together the letter for a home study course. It's a hodgepodge of different strategies... mostly on traffic. Do you know of any good swipes for home study courses? Usually they seem to be pitched in webinars and telecalls for high pricetags. Can't seem to find any good standalone letters like this. |

If you subscribe to a number of successful marketers, take a look at their email sequences. Many (most?) are using the technique of taking long sales copy and making it horizontal, i.e. taking long sales copy and dribbling it out over time. There are a number of classic direct marketing pieces that do what you are talking about ... John Caples "They laughed when I sat down at the piano ..." for one. Do a google search for "swipe files" and you will end up with a large list of similar resources to check out. Marvin |

Building on what @Marvin Johnston said, when you subscribe to other marketers, try to also concentrate one segment of your research to those companies who sell competing products. When you know what autoresponder tracks your competitors use, improve on their tracks by incorporating better strategies and copy gleaned from "successful marketers". Split test incremental improvements. Don't get "perfectitis" where you end up paralyzed always thinking your copy could be just a little better. Ready, Fire, Aim! |

Ken McCarthy's got a few. Try googling his name. Edit: Here's Sackheim's old ad. for the Sherwin Cody school. It might give you a few ideas. http://directanddigitalmarketing.com...es-in-english/ If you don't have the ad, you can right click and save it to your machine. Another edit: Sorry if anyone tried that page - I've nuked my blog. |

Well, two suggestions: 1. Do NOT release the product until you've got the product positioning, design etc, right. If the product doesn't hit the market right, no amount of great copy will save it. 2. Yanik Silver's got some good home study courses, you might learn something from his stuff. |
