Yes, I'm a copywriter asking headline writing suggestions... I'm creating a personal growth forum with tools for goal setting, time management, leadership development, weight loss and entrepreneurial skills. It's for people who would like to have a personal achievement coach, but can't afford one on one. The question is: for you, what would be most valuable about this kind of resource...what would you want to see there...what would you pay for. It's a one time payment for lifetime membership and they get access to me and a staff of four experienced coaches. Any headline ideas would be welcome, but I'm really looking to find out what people want most from this type of resource...maybe some things I've not thought of. Many enthusiastic thanks to those who contribute... |

Seth, There's 106 people who have an interest in this subject, talking about it right now. You can ask the question there, without asking for headline ideas. You'll see what the hot topics are, the emotional words used and other ideas for hooks and leads. Just gotta dive in and observe. Mind Warriors - Success, Power, Self-Improvement Search for other forums on the subject too. Best, Ewen P.S. There is a great post called " Marketing To The Herd Mind" by Allen Says in the War Room. It will give you ideas on how to position your products for maximum sales. Also follow down the posts and you will see a link to Mike Filsaine's post on the same subject. |

In personal development, people want a number of things--specifically speaking. However, one of my partners who runs life coaching, hypnotherapy and NLP trainings insists they all distill down to one thing. Fear of something. To be a little gentler... a lack of self-confidence. Now normally my coaching would be to focus on something specific, where people are lacking in a specific ability or behavior--like public speaking, or overcoming shyness, etc. But frame it in the positive as a headline. But my Partner is adamant if you focus on the root cause, lack of self confidence, all sorts of new additional capabilities manifest themselves, that the person didn't even know they had or could do. And what that does is all allow the person to turn the corner from "fixing something", to being generative and eliciting what's great in themselves. I don't know the answer for sure. That's my input. - Rick Duris |

i agree with everything rick has wrote... I think you should niche down tho.. to one message, one market, one outcome. When you appeal to such a wide crowd you almost appeal to nobody.. I've heard that time and time again on this board. Since you've practiced with NLP seth.. like rick said when you elicit their criteria you help them become more aware of themselves and your ability to help them in their transformations thus creating more value from your services and happier people... great stuff. |

Steve, In college.. years ago. I did a report on Niccolo Machiavelli. I vaguely recall the actual report, but I do remember one profound distinction he made... He says: Fear is constant - Love is fickle. That's still true today...Interesting. Best, Ross |

Hi Im also a copywriter so from a copy / sales point - I think what would work well is a headline that conveys finding out what other people are doing. Or what works best. People in the personal development field are very much like the IM field always looking for the next quick fix. So a forum/healdine that implies they can find out what actually works, what real people use would do well in my opinion |
