There is something fundamentally out-of-place in the mind of any writer who can produce even ONE quality article in a day and settle for $5 or less for the labor. A simple, strategic shift in thinking will multiply that paltry sum by entire factors. A person needs to know how to THINK, and not be deceived by their own desperate thoughts. A person must know how to PERCEIVE VALUE in their own Mind in order to understand how to pass value on to another, thus solidifying and personifying value itself. If you can PRODUCE VALUE, then you MUST DEMAND VALUE in exchange - otherwise (and none of us can escape this), you'll cease to understand value itself. On the other side of the coin, if there is something woefully out-of-place in the mind of a person who would denegrate themselves in that way, there is something even more insidious going on in the mind of someone who will exploit that weakness and rob a writer who produces quality content by paying him or her a paltry sum ($5, $3, $1 per article, etc). Such a person is getting away with NOTHING. The same psychological laws apply. I can't even count how many people I've met of that mentality who are simply miserable inside as human beings - not a single one of them knows genuine happiness, true SUCCESS, no matter how much they manage to steal. The exploiter pays a price that is just as bad as the exploited. To communicate REAL VALUE, you must UNDERSTAND real value. Then it expresses itself in everything that you do and everything that your are, including your BUSINESS DEALINGS. A person who exploits is desperate and greedy, understanding nothing of value, and the price is paid for them in emotional and mental pain that keeps them company all day and all night, ceaseless. |

You get what you pay for pretty much rules out exploitation. These people are buying filler content that doesn't get a dupe content penalty. Nobody -- I fault the content writers for this -- is doing more than whining about exploitation. They don't figure out a value proposition. It starts with figuring out what the content is for. In many cases, these articles are supposed to make the site owner seem like an expert. In actuality, poorly researched generic articles for rock bottom prices make the site owner look inept and clueless. These people aren't hiring a writer. These people aren't writers -- they're typists. And the price for that seems to be about five bucks. When you look like you scraped your articles, you look clueless. And then you can't sell for any more than the content writers/typists are getting. |

John, you've hit the nail right square on the head and rammed clear through the 2x4. When a person wants much, they should be prepared to GIVE much in VALUE. |

As someone who has outsourced over a hundred articles, I can tell you that I would happily pay a lot of money to quality writers, but good writers are nearly non-existent. What you have a lot of is writers who THINK they are good. Most are mediocre and dont research nearly enough. A lot just rewrite a few articles in their own words, they dont take the time to dig deep. Its not lack of knowledge about proper english or good writing skills. Its the content of what they communicate that blows. |

I have to shake my head at people who have a glut of PLR articles then say "I can only afford to pay you 50 cents to rewrite each one completely so that it passes copyscape..etc.etc." *sigh* |

This thread reminds me of a job listing I just saw on Elance where the person wanted more than 30 500 word articles that were well researched (poster asked for a list of resources for each article), had perfect grammar, etc--the usual stuff--and then said "I won't pay more than $1.50 per article so if you want more than that, don't bother bidding." I think the crap quality and crap prices run in both directions. Neither one can exist in a vacuum. The problem comes from the crap buyers and crap providers who are so vocal that they look like the face of the market, making it harder for the buyers and providers who provide quality prices and product to get noticed. The truth is that the "real" buyers and providers don't operate quite as openly as the "I want 50 articles for $50 total" or "I'll rite ur rticlz 4 u 4 cheep!" because they don't want to get flooded with a bunch of messages that will ultimately end up being a waste of time. Okay--this post did not make as much sense as I wanted it to. Antihistamine must be kicking in. |
