Seen this? Get FB Ads Free I have a pretty good idea who wrote it. Would just like confirmation. But IMO this is Fraud. You seen the thread here on it? Get FB ads Free Or Facebook Ads Free ? Seen what people are saying on the net? This is a stinker. The FTC would have a field day with this.

They start off by offering JV partners Win a $350k Rolls Royce Phantom For a Week" and it goes downhill rapidly from there. The JV prize isn't the car at all - it's a week's chauffeur-driven tour of Miami clubs in the thing. Talk about "misrepresentation".

The offer itself is promising software that will allow you to get facebook ads for free. Uh right. BS of course. They mean if you whack a CPA offer on a fanpage and it makes money your ad spend is zip. Entirely different beast - and again misrepresentation and fraud IMO. And the script is making FBML fan pages that will be replaced by iframes on March 11 anyway. What's up with that?

So I'd really like to know who the writers are on this. You man enough to put your hands up?

And let's not forget the BS scarcity tactic - "Only 500 will be sold". I've been refreshing the page for the last day and it's still reading "33 Downloads left". How dumb do you think people are? That dumb?

This kind of stuff is just going to terminally damage this industry.

Yep - March 11. But apparently these guys are saying they'll update the software by then. Meanwhile a good third of the site is missing content - Vids/Forum/PDFs. You really got to wonder. One JV I spoke to said he made 100 sales on the first day and had 70% Refunds on the second.

I have already unsubscribed from a slew of mailing lists as a result of the promotion of this product. Was always taught by the "gurus" to promote quality products to your list so as to maintain the loyalty of your list....ironically some of the ones I've unsubscribed from were some of the ones who talked about that very same advice on list management.

I used to work for an info-product company and for reasons beyond explanation, they also left all of their members areas completely unprotected...no password required. Yet, they never could explain their abnormally high refund rates.

Jani wrote the copy himself and any copywriter sitting in the copywriting forum complaining that this copy converts but is horrible, should actually learn at least "why" it converts and how they can apply that to their letters. because everything else aside regarding this product (and indifferent for the sake of this discussion) this letter converts to cold clicks from IM lists almost better than anything that has come out recently.

So the first question you need to be asking yourself as a copywriter is
"Why does this convert good"

Now for some of you the immediate answer will be
"because its no good scamming fraud"

that is an ok answer, but....... analyze the elements
and I am sure that with a few minor twists they could
come into your "comfort zone" and still convert almost
nearly as well.

refund rate doesnt matter, that is just a reason for you to avoid talking about my statement, and regardless all this **** gets at least 50% and anybody who tells you that "their product only has a 8% refund rate" hasnt sold 15,000 front ends on CB in 36 hours and raped them 9 times a week on the next offer in que. its just their business model, it is expected and they are fine with it and most of their partners who would mail this **** in the first place don't give a rats ass, they just like seeing big immediate EPCs and that is about as long term as they can vision.

In the accommodation with Bubba. "At the end of the day we are here to sell" eh? At any cost it seems. Whether its ethical or not. Whether it reeks so bad that the FTC will come a'knocking. It's just a matter of time IMO - even if you're based in Singapore or Thailand or Upper Monogolia. If you're targeting the US market and there are extradition agreements in place the FTC can prosecute and extradite - according to Bob Silber the FTC expert lawyer. You're doing the industry no favors by encouraging these guys in offers like this one.

BTW did you truly think you had the chance of winning a $350k RR Phantom - another dodgy come-on JG had in his JV promo. Or do you admire that style of copy as well? Here...I'll quote it - "Win this $350,000 Rolls Royce Phantom...plus get loads of $435.65 commissions". No disclaimer. No "just for a week" in the fine print.

BTW I just picked up a classic S600 V12 Benz. That's about as big as I want to go. The fuel consumption is bordering on obscene. But I justify it by only driving it to church on Sundays. With my 85 year old Mother in the back. At 300 kph down the autobahn. Full tilt boogie. Take no prisoners.

Just a quick note here, an add on.

I don't want to come across as though I'm supporting any vendor who is lying and scamming and putting out crap. Personally I don't know how they sleep at night. To me, money I EARN is the only type I can spend and feel ok with myself.

But, gambling with the rent money (which is what you appear to have done) is compulsive behavior of the type that addicts engage in. Yes, the vendors should be held accountable for what they sell, but personal responsibility and accountability run both ways.

Myself, I get tired of all the people who come onto forums and whine and complain about being taken advantage of by the same damn scam every single week. Wake up people. There's no such thing as a free lunch.

If you want to run a successful business online, your going to have to do what everyone else who's ever run a successful business has had to do (and that includes even the guy's selling you the dream...some of them are actually among the hardest working people I've ever met online)....WORK.

Learn the basic's of salesmanship, stop worrying about the "latest and greatest" gadget and tactic...focus on good old fashion selling and salesman ship - not on cheap ass tricks.

The ONLY ONE making money on the tricks is the one selling them to suckers. They are not making that money off the trick.

But we live in a world full of predators, and as long as there are people who want something for noting, there's always going to be people who are willing to WORK to take advantage of them.

it is about this being a place for copywriters to study craft and that is what I am concerned about.

lets take a shock example. hitler won the hearts and minds of the German people in the 30's and led them to world war and lots of other nasty things. am i nazi? no. (but you are Mal....haha) do I agree or support with what they did? no. I have a moral ethic in place that disagrees with their worldview.

however, as a student of human pschoylogy I am going to learn EXACTLY what Hitler did to move a nation to do such a thing... this in the exact same breath that I have vehemently studied the life of ghandi to see how he took back a nation bloodless. Getting MASSES of people to do what you want is the ultimate goal of a copywriter. How you use that power is per your wishes, however to blanket poop on something (ITS A FRAUD) and not even understand the "why" underneath it is just ignorant and self limiting to both your skills and your career IMHO.

the fact is that as copywriters we (not sure if I qualify as one or not since I don't write for others) are students of an art. Detach yourself from it and study the art. That is how we all will improve our game.

Why psychology? Just curious...I mean analyzing what they did is one thing...Anyone can do that...but it doesn't really give you the key to the blackbox, isn't that what you're looking for? • Demonstrations must show how the product will perform under normal use.
• Refunds must be made to dissatisfied consumers - if you promised to make them.

• injunctions by federal district courts. Violations of some Commission rules also could result in civil penalties of up to $16,000 per violation. Violations of court orders could result in civil or criminal contempt proceedings.
• in some instances, refunds to consumers for actual damages in civil lawsuits.

You know, I gotta say... legit or not, that is some pretty sweet copy.

I was hooked.

Not surprising, I'm pretty sure the guy/gal who wrote Steve Iser's Commission Crusher assembled this thing, too.
