Hi, I've got this sales letter and it's not selling anything! The visitors are cold Facebook Traffic from Facebook Ads, i dont's think the traffic is the problem, because the visitors are exactly the right age to buy my product and the Ads are quite specific about the product and the ads point out that there is a product to buy to keep the "for-free-folks" out. So i think the Problem is my Sales-Letter. It consits of two websites: The first site is the entrance-site, where the visitor is informed about the Product. On this site there are links in the plain text and also image-links that link to the second site. The second site is where the visitor gets a short summary of the first quite big first side, and where the visitor can choose it's paying options. Well, my Question are: 7,8% of the Facebook-Ads-Visitors actually click on the links to visit the second site. Is 7,8% too low? On the other side, this means, that 92% of my vistors leave my site on the first page. Is this bounce rate to high? How are your bounce rates.? thanks in advance for your help, Schwan ps: Please apologize for my engilsih, i'm no native speaker! |

Schwan, Well it's kind of hard to give any good advice simply because it depends on dozens of variables, but here are my thoughts. Facebook typically converts VERY poorly overall. Not that it doesn't work for some businesses, but when people are on Facebook they're looking for social interactions and not buying things. Also - be sure the demographics, psychographics, etc. are all in-line with your product too... and not just age. One thing you might try doing is putting an exit popup for people who leave. If they leave without buying, give them a survey (and a free gift for filling it out) asking why they didn't buy. It could be a number of things, so that survey will help. And also - be sure you do a test order to make sure the code is all setup right and it's actually working properly ![]() Hope that helps! |

Hi Reeveso! Thanks for your fast answer! It was very usefull to me, because i'm still a beginner .I also thought about the possibilty, that facebook ads could convert bad, so what do you think about this traffic source: (My first question) My average customer is a middle-age woman with kids at school, because my product is about education for kids (to help kids getting better grades). So i could book ppc Advertisment on typical Woman-Websites. How gould do you think, would this type of traffic convert? My second question is: I think the Exit-popup is a good idea in generall, but i am afraid that it could cannibalize those Costumers who only bookmark the Page and think about buying later. This would lower my convertion rate without me noticing. Do you think there are a lot of costumers who boomark and buy later or do you think there are hardly any? thanks for your help, Schwan ps: I made a test order and it turned out fine .

Why do you have two pages? Every time you make your visitor do something (like click to a new page) you lose people. There is a place for two page sales strategies. They're often used with a high-end product. The first page is usually a pre-sell while the main page is designed to close the sale. You're asking a lot without showing us what you have. Post the links and you're get a much more accurate response. Good luck. |

hi travlinguy, Thanks for your quick response. Well it's interesting, you mean i should provide the selling options right on the entrance side? Up to which pirce do you think this is usefull, because i know a lot sides which handle it differnt. For example this side, which looks quite proffessional: getbettergradesnow. com/?hop=testike. (This is not my site and i'am no affiliate) I would like to provide links, but the problem is, my sites are in German and you would have to use the Google Translator + the people in german are different to americans, should really post my german sales-copy link? |

In that case, maybe you could tell us what it is you're selling and the price. It will still be hard to comment but maybe you would get some insight.

It's a ebook for Kids that helps to improve grades. The three main themes are: Motivation, learning-strategies and techniques to improve grades in generall. The book is for Kids, but is sold to parents, because they have the money and are therefore more interested to buy. In my test the pricing was 49,90€, which may be to much for an non-physical produkt on the german market. So my plan is to test an pysical-Produkt, a real book, for the price of 27€. |
