Bounce Rate FAIL?

Hi from Germany!

My bounce rate (= entrance-site --> exit ) is 92% how good or bad is this? How are your bounce rates?

My sales funnel is build like this:
Big Entrance sales letter with a lot of links to -->
Summary Site with payment options -->
payment and shipping

Second Question: My Sales-Letter (located at gute-noten-ohne-nachhilfe.de) isn't selling anything. Should i use an exit popup with a survey to investigate this, or could this lead to lower conversion in future tests, because the exit people just bookmarked the page and could have bought later?

Ps: My product is a improve-your-grades book for kids, priced @ 49,90€.

This isn't going to help you at all so apologies but as your site is in German, for obvious reasons,it will be difficult to identify what the problem is.

But let me say this if I may. The problem with any converting in sales is nothing to do with gimmicks but all to do with words.

This is an educational product for school children. Do you know any parents? and if so pitch them face to face.

You will immediately see from their facial expressions where you are capturing their interest and where you are losing their interest.

You will also find out their true reasons to buy as well as their objections.

Once you can sell at least 1 in 3 face to face you will have something effective to put in words.

If you can't sell face to face it is unlikely anyone will buy it when you are not there which is what copywriting is really. You have to be better than a face to face person.

Education is always a hot topic so it is definately to do with what you have written although I can't read it.

Don't know if that is any use to you?

Well your right, BUT i still would like to know how good or bad a bounce rate of 92% for my sales funnel is. Could anyone help and post his bounce rate figures?
