Afternoon warriors all. I've got a product in development, and I want to be fairly direct about marketing it. My plan was to write a sales letter for snail mail with a pitch and a discount code for our website OR just the pitch with a contact number so I can get a sale by phone. Lots of leads have been sourced through LinkedIn and similar sites, so it's still internet marketing, right? ![]() Anyway, which makes more sense? and are there any good resources that cover direct-response marketing for the internet? Regards, |

Without more information, the best way to go would be to pitch the product in your letter and ask for the sale. Either with an order form in the letter or purchase by phone. I'd lean towards selling by phone personally. Or you might be better doing a lead gen letter, which gets them to register on your site, or respond some other way for free information. Once you've got their details and their trust you can begin to promote your paid product. |

Any good direct marketing book will teach you the principles. The principles are true no matter the medium you are in. It applies to mail, email, membership sites, audio, and video. I recommend Caples, Bly, and Schwab, to get you started. Attention-> Interest-> Decision-> Action |
