Default Copywriters tools to interact with clients

Hi everyone,
I am starting out as a copywriter and moving my first steps in this new world. I am a project manager before but I decided to start copywriting as a side gig.

As I love tools and web apps I was wondering if there was some tool to help me cope with clients in regards of:
- receiving/evaluating prospects;
- handle revisions back and forth;
- <you name it>.

I will wait for your insightful answers while I read the other posts of the forum and decide which books and online courses to buy.

Cheers,
Francesco

I was thinking about a better way to handle revisions of the copy. So, I tried posting on google docs, but it turned into a comment war. Later on, google docs *accidentally* stopped working for me , so I went back to emails/phone calls. I guess it's easier to sell the copy to the individual when I can address all points and make whole arguments at once.

I assume you mean some kind of CRM - the one I use is Highrise from 37Signals.
Highrise: Small Business CRM, Web-Based Contact Manager

For handling revisions, Google Docs really isn't bad now that it's evolved to 'discussions' rather than comments. Sometimes a Dropbox public folder can work. Depends a bit on how deep your requirements go.

Email, Skype/phone, Dropbox and Basecamp are all I use.

Dropbox is great because you can access your files anywhere. Basecamp is great for larger/more collaborative projects because you can setup to-do's, milestones and things like that as well as keep tabs on what the team is up to.
