Hi ibis699 I'm fairly new to this site, but saw your posting and thought I might be able to offer some help. I've worked in the Real Estate industry here in Australia as well as the investment markets. However, Marketing has the same general principals in every industry. Firstly, just a point on your website formatting - I've found its always good website design to make sure your page width fits the most common screen sizes. My screen is currently set at 1024x768 pixels which I would suggest is what most people have these days. When viewing your website, its very annoying for people to have to scroll sideways to get all the content. Up/down is fine, but having said that, you want your main message to be viewable without moving the page at all. So the first thing I would do is set the table width for your page to no more than about 950 pixels, and centred. Re: your sales copy, I would firstly work out your USP, or your Unique Selling Proposition, if you haven't already and make sure this is clearly communicated very early on in your copy. In the main heading if possible. This USP is what sets you apart from other agents in your business and gives your visitors the main reason to deal with you rather than someone else. I found a good site that summarizes this and gives some good tips on Real Estate marketing, however as I'm new here I don't have the minimum 15 posts yet to be able to include the link. Do a google search on with the keywords 'copywriting investment property'. Its the sixth listing with the title 'Words That Sell Copywriting And Direct Marketing - Real Estate...' Its all about standing out from the crowd. There's a good section in this article about a Real Estate agent that offered a similar 'one stop shop' service to yourself. You need make sure that your clients understand that you can provide all facets of their real estate purchase from property selection to finance and financial planning, etc, etc. Have a read and it might spark some ideas. Also, you need to give your visitors a compelling reason to sign up for your newsletter. Maybe give a bit of an overview of what they can expect to receive in this newsletter. People have enough stuff coming through their inboxs already. You need to motivate them with some benefits. Can't write your copy for you, but I hope these few tips help you out some. The best thing you can do and the basis of all your copywriting henceforth will start from developing your USP. I'd suggest you get crystal clear on this. Best of luck my friend. |

If you need your copy fast, don't study any copywriting manuals. A few articles that'll teach you the basics should be enough. Learn about the structure and all the elements a long sales letter requires. Then... just imitate others (it's called swiping most of the time.) The only problem you have now is finding good examples to follow. |
