Ray Edwards recently commented on Twitter that this site is converting very well. His exact quote, "it's getting KILLER results". Internet Marketing Newsletter Alex |

Hi Dave, Thank you for your question, I'm myself interested in seeing some great examples. If you don't mind, would you like to share some of your own finds? On a related note, you know you can use free FireFox Plugin Foxmarks to manage/share your bookmarks no matter where you are as long as you have access to Internet. |

| It's a nice piece of copy. But, "Killer results" for a free product and killer results which require the customer to pull out a credit card are not comparable.

One quick and easy way to find killer sales copy is to go to the Clickbank Marketplace... do a search for a specific niche, sort by Gravity then see look for a sales letter that has a low Gravity percentage and a high Referred percentage. These are the sites where most of the profits are pulled by the sales copy. Yes, you might also want to try Ray. He has a huge library of copywriting sales letters for you to review and study. |

ray is a friend of mine.... great guy, great copywriter.... i don't judge armands stuff as much partly because his name/rep will obviously skew any results. done all that... i have a TON of sites.... I've got several thousand bookmarks for marketing sites starting from 1999 (way back when I started). so far nothing good from this thread. :-( |

| I agree here, there's some killer copy on that site. I admit that I'm prone to buy a product or service promoted there, versus any other blog I have read. Plus, it's a team of many copywriters so you get some variety too.

Okay, it's a bit self-promotional but here's one that I recently wrote for Jason James. It's still in launch mode but the main sales letter is averaging around 4.2% and the upsell at 22%. Jason James Giveaway Riches - The Quick And Easy Way To Build Your Profitable List! With some of the additional testing we have planned, that conversion rate should hopefully creep up some more. By the way, that's a non-affiliate link so feel free to check it out if you want to see some "killer copy". Enjoy, Mike |

thanks. I'm not really impressed with 'make money online' stuff simply because as we all know IM'ers buy everything and for inflated prices. I was mostly interested in non "make money" copy. btw mike, drop shadow on the headline needs work.... makes the headline hard to read on the eyes. :-) |

Are you looking for non-IM niche sales letters? Seems to me if it's an online sales letter than it's intended to "make money online". Thanks for the heads-up. I'll alert the graphics guy as I don't didn't do some of the graphic design for that site... I just critique it afterwards and point out what I want/need changed. Thanks, Mike

This one isn't a traditional IM sales page and isn't formatted as one. It is, however, one that sells and sells and sells some more. An aspiring copywriter could learn a lot studying this piece. Oh, and it's not an affiliate link either: Become a Resume Writer |

Then, it’s not until around the 1100-word mark that I find out he’s selling information on list building via giveaways. Your link told me what to expect, but the letter doesn’t get me there for a long time. I’m interested in copy, but I don’t write copy, so I’d love to hear why it’s better to do it like that instead of having Jason say what he’s offering, much sooner in the letter. Maybe even in the headline.

Hi John, This forum shows the site description on links rather than the URL. So you're reading the basic SEO description. In terms of when to make the offer, I rarely lead with it. I prefer to spend time creating interest in the product and the benefits that the prospect will gain if they become a buyer before they hear the offer. There's a copywriting formula called A.I.D.A. which is the suggested order to a sales letter. The last letter is short for Action, meaning that's when you want the prospect to buy -- after you've gotten their attention, build interest in the product and given compelling reason after reason why they want it. Another way I've heard it is "emotional foreplay". You want to build interest, passion, and desire leading up to the *ahem* main event, not jump right to the event. In this case, the event is buying your product. Dan Kennedy says it best: "There's no such thing as a sales letter that is too long. Only too boring". Never bore the reader but don't rush to the order button either. In terms of the headline, it's primary job to attract the prospect's attention and get them to read the next part of the sales letter. That part's job is to get them to read the next part, and so on. Hope that helps, Mike P.S. Saying that his product is just about giveaways is an incomplete statement. It doesn't share how he setups and executes this strategy to such a high level of success. That's like saying you're "just" an online marketer... without revealing what tactics and techniques you use to build and continue to build your online business. |

The purpose of an opt-in page is to "sell" the freebie --- in exchange for a prospect's name and email address. Some opt-in pages do this very well; others don't. So to say an opt-in page which uses persuasive ad copy can't be a good example of a conversion rate is incorrect. Alex |
