Hello Copywriters, I am putting together a membership site offer. The payment options I will offer are: First week $1, then... Option 1. 12 Months ($39/mo) $468 Option 2. 4 Months ($59/mo) $236 Option 3. 1 Month ($89/mo) $89 I have seen this done very well before on my internet travels but I havent had the forethought to save these sites in a swipe file. Does anyone know any sites that have implemented this type of offer effectively so I can get some ideas for my design/copy? |

Too many choices. You're giving them a 7-day trial. If they stick, just go with a monthly option. You'll make out better. (Yes, that's my opinion.) Alex |

I haven't tested too many multiple pay options, but if I recall right, 3 should be fine. The "trick" I guess is to make 1 of them appear significantly superior than the other 2. What is your offer? Dean |

Not knowing exactly what you are offering...If you have a great product/service and you know people will stick then you should go first for the free trial like said but then after trial go into the upsell offer and obviously discount and reward them for longer pre-pay. This way they are already in and you are now offering them a way to save some more money because their satisfied with your product after the trial and paying anyways so why not save some money. This avoids confusions and avoids people looking at 3 price options and thinking which one, how much they are paying long term and not even trying your stuff yet. Get them in and then upsell. |

There are two "magic words" that will make this work. Wanna know what they are? "Best Deal". As in: First week $1, then... Option 1. 12 Months ($39/mo) $468 (Best Deal!) Option 2. 4 Months ($59/mo) $236 Option 3. 1 Month ($89/mo) $89 Make the words "Best Deal" prominent. Look at any magazine subscription forms and you'll see how to do it. - Rick Duris |

Great tip Rick! I definitely will implement that one. Does anyone know any sites that have similar payment offers? I have seen this done so many times but when I actually want to look at them then my memory fails me. I think looking at how successful products are presenting it will give me some more inspiration. |
