Examples of Testimonial Getting Campaigns?

Does anyone have any (or know where to find) good examples testimonial getting campaigns?

I'm at work right now so don't have my books handy, but I'm assuming there's stuff in the Kennedy books, "ethical bribes" etc.

An actual campaign swipe would be sexy too though.

Hey Colm,

If you need testimonials, just offer your product/service for FREE in exchange for a testimonial... most people will be happy to oblige.

Or you can run a beta tester status for your product and announce it to your list or JV's list....let's say you sell the product for $37 but during beta tester you can give it away in exchange of testimonies or sell for $10 for instance

The problem of course is you can't legally offer any prize for that contest. That would make the testimonials unfriendly to the ftc and therefore illegal.
