Can anyone recommend a copywriting course/ebook that specifically deals with writing ad boxes for Google Adwords? I have tried a couple and although they claim to be about adwords copywriting, the actual information about ad box text and case studies is minimal and usually padded out with lots of unnecessary filler on how to use adwords itself. If anyone knows of a good product I will be grateful. Many thanks... |

Thanks Alex. I remember I bought a course from him a while back for $97. It came with a video on copywriting for adwords that is the best I have found so far. I will check out his paperback. Thanks again. |

Knowing how to use Adwords itself is part of Adwords copywriting. It's not really much different from any other copy you would write however... if you don't get the technical bits right (especially Quality Score) you will do yourself more harm than good. Adwords success comes by combining the technical bits with selling skills. Perry Marshall's stuff should be great. I also strongly recommend that you take Google certification exam. |

Okay, here's a better idea than a book. Go get a free (or paid) account at keywordspy.com. Look at the competitors in your market. KS will show you all their adwords ads with a paid account. You can see the keywords and the actual ads. But...you can also see the duration. You can infer the longer the ad has been running the better the ad (though not in all cases). Cross reference multiple competitors ads of the longest duration. Here's another trick. Place the keyword and buy phrase in the domain such as getacaipure.com if you can get the domain. This gives you an extra line of copy because the call to action is in the domain. I read Perry Marshall's book too, Personally, I didn't get much value out of it. I've had better luck experimenting. Cheers, D |
