Take a look at the audio files sprinkled through this sales letter: How To Make Money With Scrapbooking What is your opinion or experience with this? Does it interrupt the flow or add to the sales effort? I'm working on a letter for an audiobook project and am testing various approaches. |

The caveman in me found the disembodied voice disconcerting. There needs to be something to occupy the eye. Audio captions beneath illustrations might be interesting if your don't want to use a slide show or a fullblown video. As they are currently used, the audio files are like speed bumps on Persuasion Street. The reader has to decide whether to take the time to listen or keep reading. Some won't do either and just leave. If you are going to use something like this, you need to give the reader a compelling reason to click 'play'. Then the content of the audio needs to build momentum and excitement before flinging them back into the text. An excerpt from your audio book that backs up the claims in your copy might foot the bill and build credibility too. This would take some skill to implement well. I like the involvement device aspect. Once they've clicked play a couple times their resistance to clicking 'buy' is less. |

The site is a proven winner, but is probably getting close to 7 or 8 years old now. The audio worked well at the time, but at a guess video, not audio would be more appropriate nowadays.

The audio is ok, but it seems like something that's outdated in this day and age. | |

Hey Joe, Like "max5ty" said, audio is becoming out dated, if you are wanting to use audio on your sales page why not go all out and get a video done instead.. Video is proven to massively increase your sales page conversion. Whilst audio helps with your conversion as well, but go all out and get a video for your site. Mark |
