Yes! E-mails that not just convert – but convert high. The key thing about copywriting is the iceberg principle. Let me explain. The reader only sees 20% of what is going on. The rest is happening just below the surface. And that's where sales are made and empires are built. But what should you be doing specifically? What should be happening below the surface? You need to ... Set The Stage For Response You need to be able to fill your e-mails with the emotion and drama that sell. But, you don't need to be a copywriting juggernaut. You can up your game right now. Here's how. Take one out of the journal of professional hollywood screenwriters. Try the SCQ Pyramid Principle. It will help you write e-mails that set the stage - and get action. Here's the forumla. 1) Open with a situation. Describe something that is happening. This could be a story you concocted out of thin air or something you know your prospect is going through. Be creative. 2) Introduce something that complicates the situation. Or a conflict that needs to be beat. Write what is mucking things up in that situation. 3) Pose that burning question. The one that must be answered for the conflict to be overcome. For things to be set right. And here's the important part. Position what's on the other side of your link as the answer to that question. This is an example of using the ... Zeignarik Effect This is a quick-and-effective formula for implementing the Zeignarik effect. For creating an itch that the reader just has to scratch. But I've gotta warn you. What you link out to must follow one criteria. If your link goes to your sales letter ... Make sure your sales letter delivers on what you promised. That it answers that burning question. If it doesn't, you'll just piss them off. Remember a time when you REALLY wanted to do something and then it didn't happen? Wanted to see that movie for a week straight – had tickets – had it all lined up – focused – and then ... It didn't hapen. Were you pissed? I'll bet you were. And it's the same stuff here. Don't do it to your prospects. They won't buy if they want to rip your head off. Peace Out, Dante Romero Do you know other ways to set the stage for response? Leave a comment below. We can all learn from each other. :-) |
