Looking for a copywriter

Hi all,

I'm launching a new (blackhat) internet marketing product in a couple of weeks time and I'm in need of a sales page writer.

Did you know that yours is the first "Copywriter wanted" thread on this new copywriting forum?

For the same reason, I wish you luck and hope you find your copywriter.

A good copywriter may be hard to find since there are only a few weeks
for the launch and copywriters are usually booked months in advance.

However, if you can afford to spend $9k on the project, I suggest you
get in touch with Vin Montello. I believe his style of writing copy will be
right for your product.

Thanks for the shout out, but I haven't taken $9,000 jobs in months. The price has gone up a tad. (Still the best bargain in marketing, however!)

I use Elance - excellent choice of online copywriters and I often find one with direct experience of the subject matter. You get to see a portfolio and their feedback rating etc. before you commit.

Does anybody know where there is a list (or provide one here) of the best online copywriters alive today? Perhaps two lists. The first list could just be the best online copywriters in the world (fortin, etc), and the second list could be a list of the best online copywriters available for $5000 or less (to include squeeze page, presale autoresonders, sales page (perhaps with oto upsell), thank-you page, post-sale autoresponders, and email to affiliates or possible jv partners)

There may not be reputable, quality copywriters at that 5k price for that package, however. If not, just put the price (perhaps the high-rollers charge 25k and percent of sales, and perhaps quality copywriters as described charge 10k plus percent sales)

I am trying to get a pulse on this market and need a starting point. any help appreciated.

A list was maintained on the old Warrior Forum. However, I think it vanished with the upgrade. Not in the way you described... but a list of Warrior copywriters whose websites/contact details you could scroll through to get a feel for their prowess and pricing.

Maybe the parties who use to maintain still have it somewhere and could think of putting it back.

It's rare (some say impossible) to find a "great" copywriter on guru.com. Mostly what you find there are barely passable writers. Not all... but most have no right calling themselves copywriters.

General comment - If you're looking for IM purposes, you can find a few passable article writers on guru, and that's about it.

I've looked at guru writers for outsourcing purposes a few times. Have to say, I was seriously underwhelmed by the portfolios I viewed.

A cheap copywriter is usually someone who is just starting out and still learning. So if you're willing for the copywriter to learn his craft on YOUR dime - go ahead and hire cheap. Just don't expect very much in the way of ROI, and you won't be disappointed.

The fact is, "great" copywriters don't come cheap. And "great" copywriters sure as hell aren't found on guru.

I am going to have to second that (or triple)--I do not believe that qualified, experienced copywriters generally are to be found on guru.

I do believe that there are plenty of 'article writers' on guru that have Bachelor degrees in English who are quite intelligent and can research and write a grammatically-correct article for a reasonable price from guru....

but that is not what i was talking about, indeed.

I was looking for a list of resources for KNOWN copywriters from the internet marketing arena, that perhaps write for marketers like Filsaime and other prominent, established online marketers.

the list wouldnt have to be the best of the best....but they should have a sound reputation, been in business for years, have a list of clients they have written for that have been in business for years (and that remain in business today), etc.

sorry for any confusion.

but i do want to thank all of you that have posted anyway......one does not necessarily know completely what they dont know until people like you all try to respond and a series of dialogues ensue....so i thank all who posted, and please do not stop posting merely because I failed to specifically communicate my request.

Lol yea I saw one guy calling himself a "World Class Copywriter" on Guru and his samples were so bad I almost fell over laughing

You may get screwed over at bidding sites like Guru, GAF, and Scriptlance. If you want it done nicely but at a reasonable price, it couldn't hurt to see who's loitering at some forums for sites like AC, CC, or accentuate services.

The best ones don't advertise much but you can get a good feel for them since those sites lets you see what they have written. Well, most of them.
