Sorry, I've watched one too many Republican debates lately. Ryan Healy just sent out an email leading to copywriting opportunities in the financial niche. Thought some folk here might be interested. http://theelevationgroup.net/copywriters/ If it works out I only want half your earnings for gifting you this heads up. --- Ross |

Not to piddle on anyone's parade, most especially Ross'. He's always been a stand-up guy in my book. But 30 to 60K a year to write copy in the financial niche? Really? That's akin to ... well, insert your own horribly exaggerated, low-ball analogy here. Unless there's a royalty involved, and it doesn't look like it, that money is ridiculously low. And they want to torture you with a long, drawn-out interview process to boot? Stay away people. I smell sweat shop in the air. Doc |

I've been in the business for over 10 years now so you see patterns after a while. I'm always suspicious of people who claim that they are looking for a copywriter. How is it possible that there are so many many copywriters looking for gigs and yet people can't "find" them? A typical financial package starts at ~$10K and being paid even $60K a year for a 40 hr work week is pitiful. Not a shot against OPster, but just saying that company is not looking for a copywriter. -Ray Edwards |

Even if we were without the backdrop of an economic recession.. a lot of young, up-and-coming writers would jump at the chance to work for a reputable financial company for $60k. Thank you for the heads up, Ross. PS.. your Stripped Naked Sales Letter is one of the best learning tools I've come across for aspiring copywriters on the WF. Keep it up, brother. |

Yikes, I like Dan Kennedy's model better - he writes 1 page and sells it for $500k But when you're that in demand you could charge anything and people will line up to get your services... I would never be a 40 hour/week copywriter... despite my passion being writing... |
