Hey guys, I'm Tony and this is my first time posting on the copywriting forums. I've been doing IM for 5 years now and have always done my own copywriting. I've gone through some of Carlton's stuff and the classic copywriting books. I've written dozens of sales letters and have been told I have some natural talent. I've gained a massive interest in honing my copywriting skills lately (after learning how much good copywriters get paid), and was wondering what's the typical path someone takes to master this craft. I assume it's getting a mentor, but how would I find one? An opportunity came up for me to work for a direct response marketing company where I'll be 'trained' to write their copy and work 3 days a week. Those with experience, what are your thoughts? |
