| ...AND You Said "You Don't Gamble". Provoked? I hope. Curious? Hmm......Then perhaps you'll realize that your definition of self-fulfilment defers from mine, and probably the next person to post under you. And I'm not going to reveal it to the likes of you if you don't even read the full post. Let me throw a trembling LIVE "grenade" into your hot seat right now and tell you that you're plain wrong. Your bad is my good, my worst profit day could be your payday. Maybe you don't get it now, so just keep reading on... Here's a clearer one: You slap a label on every damn thing in the world. Price tags. Good. Bad. Disgusting. A famous one... Take a guess? Tomorrow. Sorry, but the grenade I tossed earlier explodes now. You'd probably never thought about it before, but... You've been choosing, haven't you? There's a need to choose between a benefit and a con, a good and a bad, a neutral and a non-neutral. You forgot all about that grenade I tossed over. There's a need for you to slap a label of "value" on everything you see... I mean, maybe you thought in the last few seconds... "Who said I've never thought of this before?" (Or maybe you even forgot to recognize it in a challenging tone) So where's YOUR gambit? You're being forced to play poker even right now. You're trying to keep that straight face and 'bluff' your way through my logical defenses. But I'm not allowing that... When we play poker, we don't trade equal. I'd gamble to take away YOUR surplus. Even if you were boiling inside, creaking with that 'poker-face' anger... There's nothing you can do about it. Right? Sorry, but let me retract that sentence. Maybe I can't do anything about you, but YOU can do something about yourself. Afterall... You probably reacted to that bolded statement above. You took a gambit against my aggressive tone. If you can do that, you certainly can... Muster all that remaining strength of yours... and SLAP a label on that surplus. Give it a name. Maybe... "Value?" Look, if you're going to gamble, you're going to win and lose. You're going to hang something out that sets your reader's salivary glands loose like when he imagines incredibly sour lemons. Maybe you just did. You see, the reason we gamble is because of value. I gamble for your surplus and your readers gamble for your surplus. It's a two-way exchange, on a whole new intimate level than Savanna lions in heat. Let me cut the crap and set you loose... ... You have your valuable time and you're not going to waste it. That's okay, you can simply click away. I don't care. Still here? That's respectable. Keep reading... If your sales copy reader is a prospect, he would have slapped a whole damn bunch of labels on each element in your copy by the time he reaches the "close". Here's the thing... If your proof factors were slapped with favorable labels... If your rapport factors were slapped with "That's true!" labels... The higher the number of "ticks" that go off in your reader's head... the more compelling your copy becomes. As salesmen... As copywriters... We have two choices really. To gamble... or to not write copy. Best Regards, -Ryan. P.S - The point of the post? Loops within loops and loops. P.P.S - Feel free to point out things I "forgot" to mention. |

I don't see any point to your post. It's dull. Dan |

If this were music, critics would call it "self-indulgent". It's about you impressing yourself instead of connecting with your reader. Reads like word salad... and I'm left thinking. "Whadafuh?" |
