I did not even finish reading the first paragraph. The "hype" did not match my perception of the car.

I dunno, the copy is funny and the car is cheap, so someone may bite.

Still, it's pretty old and has a lot of miles (or "kilometers"... whatever those are.)

Powerful, Cash-Absorbing Copy

I did a fun Craigslist ad for a floor jack a few months ago. It sold in about 10 minutes and I was ticked because I'd spent longer than that writing the ad LOL. Here it is:

Awesome DDF Michelin 3-1/2 Ton Floor Jack - $70 (Katy)

Awesome Michelin 3-1/2 Ton Floor Jack
Regretfully, my floor jack and I have to part ways. I'm seeking one lucky person to take this bad boy from me. This floor jack is incredible and has served me well in many applications. Together, we've changed boat axles, tires, done brake jobs, removed transmissions and more.

And you read that right... 100% DDF. Not a drip!

This jack is rated at 3-1/2 freaking TONS. That's 7,000lbs to us normal folks. And if you're from one of those foreign countries where they can't understand a real measurement system, it is 3,181 kilograms. In other words, this baby will lift any car on the freaking planet.

But I think it's a lie.

It will lift a hell of a lot more than that. When I changed the axle on my boat, I jacked up the whole back end. And my boat, a 26' Prokat, weighs in at more than 9,000 lbs. My jack didn't even break a sweat. I think Archimedes was right, with a big enough lever, you could lift the world with this thing.

And did you get that it's made by Michelin? That's right, the people that make the world's safest tires so you know this baby is safe. And who would know more about floor jacks than a tire company, right? After all, you need one every time you change a tire. Also, since it's made by Michelin, I'll give you a lifetime tread guarantee on the tires. They're made of case-hardened steel so you'll easily get 100,000+ miles out of them.

This thing is built tough too. It's constructed from solid steel, ¼" thick. And then they painted it midnight blue just to add to the coolness factor. Of course, in years of service for me, it suffered a few injuries. Somewhere along the way, we lost the extension pole on the jack handle. Who cares? This thing is so powerful, your 8 year old could jack up the family sedan with one arm. Besides, it won't fit in the back of my Yukon with the full handle on it and it loves to go for a ride.

But wait, there's more. . .

This jack has "Speedy Lift"! This patented technology allows you to push the handle down one full stroke and the lift raises almost a foot, until it reaches the load. This saves your arm from jacking like a 14 year old boy when the new Playboy arrives. It's also great if you run the NASCAR circuit.

Look, you're not going to find a cooler, more experienced jack at this price. I'm only asking $75 for this "world-lifting" behemoth. You'll be the envy of your neighbors. And if you're like me, you'll find yourself in the garage with your jack and a beer, just jacking things up and down because it's so much fun. The kids love it too.

It's not going to last long so call me right away to pick up this power lifter, pronto. It's located in Houston. Bring a 6-pack and we'll take turns jacking our cars up before you leave.

Floor Jack 3.5 tons $ 70.00

Nicely done, man. Your approach on it reminds me of when Joe Sugarman wrote copy to sell one of his airplanes. Something that sounds like "parting with a long-time friend."
