Also from the same blog, 4 factors that can either make or break a promotion...
  1. The promo does not have a clear Unique Selling Proposition (USP) of the product.
  2. The promo does not have enough compelling proof to make a persuasive sale of the product.
  3. The promo’s main theme is not on target.
  4. The promo does not solve an urgent problem.
