Default Looking for referrals for an eBook writer

Hi guys,

I started writing an eBook and just ran out of steam. I'm looking to have someone re-write/finish it but there are ALOT of different "expert" rewriters.

Does anyone have any PERSONAL experience with one that they would recommend?

The cheaper the better.

Finding a less-expensive rewriter might be easier if the person were already familiar with your field (no research time needed). Could you tell us the basic topic?

The main topic is bullying. The side thread is how bully's basically "hypnotize" their victims by altering the subconscious mind - or the way we perceive ourselves internally through repetition (repeated bullying) and subliminal queues (posture,tonality,etc.).

Could you please tell me which forum is for eBook writer referrals and references?

After looking at my choices, this seemed like the most applicable.

I would say the article section would be a better option. Copywriting is VERY different from ebook writing. I also wanted to add that your phrase

is insulting. I am a writer and have written ebooks and if I had a client whose first statement was that, I would not even discuss the project because they're obviously not interested in good quality work.

Understandable yes. Although... my reasoning was... the article section SPECIFICALLY said articles. This forum left it a little more open.

But I can certainly try there. Thank you!

I wouldn't get insulted over the comment.

Since you are insulted by thriftiness... I'm assuming then that you have never shopped around for the best price on a car? You never utilize sales? Coupons? Special buys?

Obviously I want a deal. And just as obviously, I want quality. Otherwise... I wouldn't have bothered asking for a reference/referral - I would simply have did a google search for writers and picked the cheapest one.

No offense was intended with my desire to save money. I shall endeavor to be less offensive with my penny pinching.

Apparently, it is EQUALLY obvious that you are not a mind reader.

Again... why would I bother asking for a referral/reference, if quality didn't matter.

You can't post in the articles section. The main forum will usually work for a request like this.

No offense to Mark and Laurence, but you guys get insulted far too easily. There is nothing wrong with trying to get the best deal.

As to posting in the wrong section, that is a rather understandable mistake. There isn't a writing section here, other than this one. At least give the guy credit for trying to find an appropriate section.

Thank you Tina. I shall take my query there.

Not only does it clearly state what this forum is for on the main page but in the stickies at the top of the forum anyone can read Mike Humphrey's thread about the difference between certain types of writing and copywriting.

Mark, I know. You're right about that but I think you overreacted a bit, that's all. Your first post back to him explained it and he responded by asking where the correct place would be.

I wish they would add a regular writing section as it would make things easier... lol.
