I recently discovered Ben Settle's blog and it is an amazing resource for copywriters. The best part of the whole site, IMO, are the interviews with all the different copywriting, JV, SEO, and public speaking experts. The interviews cover everything from copywriting secrets to how to market yourself and get clients to how to attract JV partners to how to write your first book and promote it. It is a great and FREE resource for all aspiring and well known copywriters. Check it out. Interviews |

Greetings, I had the opportunity to interview A-List copywriter Doug D'Anna for my membership site Market Your Copy. As part of a previous promotional effort with Doug, we made the web-based version of this interview available for free listen and no opt-in required. As part of helping other copywriters, I've decided to make this 60 minute interview available to everyone once again. Market Your Copy and Doug D'Anna Exclusive Interview No opt-in required. Nothing to buy. Just pure 100% gold content that can help you grow your copywriting business. Market Your Copy and Doug D'Anna Exclusive Interview Enjoy, Mike |

Thank you for making this available again. I have never heard of Doug D'Anna, but I look forward to listening to the interview. Would you perhaps have/create a link to download the interview because I listen to everything in my car. I would appreciate it. If not, then I'll find time to listen to it at home. Thanks. | |

Mike, Great interview - just finished listening. Doug is not only an ace copywriter, he's a master sales man and a very motivating coach. Is there any way to get the mp3 of this? I listened online and want it on the mp3 player! By the way, your interviewing technique is smooth - you let Doug talk and reveal his knowledge. I've listened to calls where the host seems to be almost competing with the guest to show who knows what - and I usually stop and zap them after 10 minutes of such unwarranted interruptions. To whet the appetites of anyone else reading these words, here are some 'highlights' (in no particular order) I took from the call. OJT (on-the-job training) "I've built my business on the back of NO!" (Doug's enthusiasm for this is infectious) Cold calling Getting clients - This is a Sales job first A (direct response) copywriter is in B2B marketing... so behave as such! Meet and Greet Press the flesh And my favo(u)rite... about new copywriters believing the work/clients will come to them just because they've got a web site, send a few email queries etc)... "It's not like there's a mall out there for clients to go visit....and on the 3rd floor is where all the copywriters hang out" :-) A very inspirational call. And on that note I'm off to bed - maybe some interesting CW dreams? |

Maverick and Mark, Thanks for your kind words. I put a lot of effort into letting the person who I'm interviewing be the focus of the interview. It's good to hear that my efforts are appreciated. Doug is one of the top A-List copywriters in the world with over 15 years of experiences. He's had dozens of controls in his career to date. More importantly, he's a really nice guy who really wants to see other copywriters succeed. If you join Doug's ezine or Market Your Copy, then you get the mp3 and transcript of the interview. Doug's ezine is top-notch and free... my site is now a one-time fee with a bunch of additional interviews, videos, and resources. I don't want to take over the thread so I won't describe my site/product more here. Take care, Mike |
