How to find the best sales letters ever written

Hey warriors,

I've been going through some old Gary Halbert stuff lately on copywriting and he tells you to get your hands on top performing sales letters that made a huge splash in their market and copy them down by hand into a notebook.

He says that writing out three or four truly great sales letters by hand actually instills the authors thought processes into your brain.

He claims it to be one of the best ways to increase your copywriting power.

Here's the question...

Where can you find the exact sales letters written by the masters? How do you locate them in the first place. I've tried doing google searches and usually get very mixed up results.

How do you identify and locate highly successful, even legendary sales letters for the above purposes? Are there any sites that archive sales letters written by the masters?

Your help is appreciated very much!

Trevor Crook's products always have sales letter swipe files in them. Both the best letters of all time, plus many of his best letters, and he is one of the best copywriters in the world at the moment.

The answers to this post prove to me that the WF is the single most valuable and amazing place on the internet.

At least for me.

Between Dan and Ben's suggestions I think it's safe to say that we'll all have plenty of masterful sales pieces to study for the rest of our lives. How cool.

And this is after I couldn't come find any on my own that were truly great. If it weren't for this place and your guys help I'd still be stuck.

The "Triple Coil Power Swing" product uses John Carlton's famous "one-legged golfer" letter.

google any names of great copywritters and copy and past what you can access for your own swipe file . then reverse engineer it. Ted williams has an ad book where he rates all of his ad offers.
