Default Please help me critique my 1 page direct mail piece

Fellow Warriors and respected Copywriters,

I have a little favor to ask of someone who would be willing to pay it forward and do a courtesy critique for me. I have a 1 page sales letter that I will be mailing. I already have it written. I would be deeply grateful and appreciative if you could take a look at it and make some suggestions and help me tweak it for optimal impact.

I would rather not post the sales letter publicly, for the simple fact of the competitive nature of the niche and I really don't want anyone "stealing" this letter from me. I'm sure you can understand. Please PM me and I'll be glad to PM the letter to you.

Thank you so much in advance for taking the time to help a fellow Warrior who truly appreciates and respects the talents of copywriters.

Jason

Jason,

I appreciate the respectful nature of your request... It's clear that you value what a professional copy critique can do for you. That's cool. I like you already. ; )

But there's something that you're missing here... When professional copywriters on this forum do critiques publicly, there are two things that happen:

1) We are able to help educate the readers of the forum through the critique and provide value to the community here so that people reading the thread going forward continue to benefit from it.

2) We can demonstrate our proficiency which in turn generates new business.

That's a Quid Pro Quo and everyone wins on some level, including the rest of the members of the WF.

Now, I can understand the reasoning behind not wanting to reveal your niche. But that confidentiality and privacy come at a cost... namely a free critique from some very talented writers here who often charge $500-$1,500 for what you're asking.

All that said, send me a PM and I'll take a quick peek at your letter for you. Your request at least has the value of allowing this discussion to take place.

Best,

Brian
