Default Anyone have comments or critique on "Nolimitcopy.com" ?

Hello All,

I purchased a nolimitcopy.com monthly membership for $97 on March 12th and immediately submitted a sales letter for a re-right. It is now a week later and I cannot seem to get a estimated completion time from them and the progress meter is still at 0%..... I have received confirmation that they received it.

Now I really didn't expect lightning fast service for unlimited at $97 a month, but for re-rights I do expect to get at least 3 decent ones a month. Is that unreasonable?

Anyone have experiences with them?

Best,
Bill

So you're talking about $33 rewrites? You expect that... really?

I mean, even from an elancer that's not possible. At $97 if you get 1 decent rewrite per month (or even every 2 months) consider it a gift from heaven. Because you couldn't get imprisoned chinese children to work for that.

Thanks. I thought it might be too good to be true. But why advertise as "nolimitcopy" if there in fact is no chance of getting more than 1 copy?

Here is the websites sales letter.

“Discover how to get as many sales letters as you want each month for just $97 bucks---that’s it”

“That’s right, there’s NO LIMIT to the number of hand-crafted sales letters you can get with this never been done before copywriting membership”

So they advertise multiple hand crafted sales letters every month and I should not expect to get even 3 re-rights?

Bill... I get it. I know that's what was promised to you when you signed up. I know that's what you paid for. I'm just saying... come on...

Think how that business model could possibly work. Think about it.

It was advertised that way to get people like you to sign up. But... before anyone buys anything you have to stop and think for a second... "how is this possible?" If you can't figure it out... it's probably not possible.

I understand what you are saying but the reason that I took the sales letter literally is that "nolimitscopy" is a senior member here.
That made a difference to me and I would never have made the purchase from someone with no references.

"rewrites"

Sorry. That was bugging me.

Hey Bill, I'll do the 3 rewrites for your during lunch if you'd like. Just PM me and I'll send you the address to PayPal me the $97.

You don't seem the least bit worried with quality or value, so I'm sure you'll be more than satisfied with the results.

I'll even swing through Jack in the Box so I'll have more time to spend doing the rewrites in between my fits of laughter and calling up other copywriters to joke about my latest gig.

Let me know.

Doesn't look like anyone else wants to touch this discussion Vin.

Frankly Vin, I have been writing my own copy since 1978 but I came to this forum looking to find a suitable "pinch hitter" (hey, it's that time of year!!)

Sounds like maybe it should be the other way around if I can't get a couple re-writes for $97 a month..... I do 1 page re-writes for $75 in 7 days or less, and from scratch for $200 to $350 in 7-10 days.

I have seen the sales letter and I thought it was $97/month for fill-in-the-blank sales page templates. Kind of like Yanik's Instant Sales Letters. I guess that shows how seriously I took them.

I assumed it was a combination of both...

Some kind of template combined with outsourced work from India or somewhere.

I have zero experience with them, I haven't seen their work so I'll reserve comment...

Thank's for jumping in guys. Sorry for the re-write typo's.

Forget the quantity.... What about expecting a progress report and/or a estimated completion date. Is a week too soon to expect them?

Thanks David. I hope that isn't the case.

It is one of David V's great sales letters that I just wanted to "spruce up" a bit.

I have been using it hard for over 6 months and thought a fresh set of eyes might do a better job than I would do after seeing it everyday for 6 months.

Best,

Bill,

Does the letter convert as it is?

If it's already converting you may find that
such a cheap re-write completely kills off
your conversions.

I'm not saying that's what will happen, but
when they are doing so many rewrites for
such a low cost, you have to wonder how
long they can possibly spend on each one.

Just something to consider.

I'm sure nolimitcopy is doing the best they can with the resources
they have. If it's a long letter and you want it rewritten it wouldn't
surprise me if it goes to the bottom of the stack.

Nobody wants to rewrite a long letter if they can rewrite a short one.

You mentioned the name of the original copywriter. If it's the person
I a thinking it is he tends to be verbose and use a lot of superlatives.
Rewriting may not be so necessary as just slashing out some of the
words. You have to keep in mind that a letter written for one marketer's
list and his relationship with them may not perform as well with another
list and especially with cold traffic.

My intentions when I opened this thread were to simply get an idea if I should have received a estimated completion date by now and if 0% on the progress report seems odd to anyone. I am big on communication.

We have somehow got off on a tangent about how much work to expect in a month and I hope this has not put nolimitcopy in a negative light. That was and is not my intention.

I am a member there and while the letters are good the time delivered is not..

I understand it takes time to put out a good sales letter and that $97.00 is cheap and to get one good letter at that price is a steal..

BUT.. when you say something on your salesletter you should stand behind it or don't advertise it..

That is the ONLY complaint I have..

My thoughts exactly. $33 rewrites, huh? Well, assuming that rewriting your sales letter only takes them 8 hours, that's less than $5 per hour which is less than U.S. minimum wage.

You have to wonder how many members have also submitted write/rewrite requests besides yours. With 'nolimit', some people might submit 5-10 letters per month, just to squeeze every bit out of that membership fee. My guess is that they are swamped with cheap work to do.

To give it some perspective... $97 is less than most of the high-quality copywriters I know charge for an hour of their time.

Professionally, I'd suggest going back to David V and asking him if he could 'spruce it up' a bit... then gladly pay whatever his asking fee might be.

My 2 cents,

Mike

Thanks Mike. When I signed up I only submitted the single letter for exactly the reason you mention.

I didn't feel it would be fair to submit 10 or 20 letters and hope for the best. Plus it would lump me into a class that I do not wish to belong. GREEDY!

Here are "my cards on the table": My intention was, and still is, to submit one order at a time and to stay with them as long as they can average 1.5 copies completed per month (OK, now you know Nicholas).... Otherwise it would serve me better to do them myself.

Since I'm the owner of the site, I'll make a short response. Here are a few links to sales letters that I've sent out in the past 2 weeks so you can decide for yourself if the quality you get is worth it. I suspect that the answer will be yes.

Instant ClickBank Review Sites! (took me 2 hours to write)

Raw Hypnosis Training - Covert Hypnosis Course To Learn Hypnosis (Took me 2 hours to write)

PLRCompany.Com - The World Of Private Label & Master Resell Rights Ebooks, Videos and (Took Software! (took me 1 1/2 hours to write)

Yes, there were a few kinks to work out since there's never ever been anything done like this before for copywriting. I still have a few kinks to work out, but for marketers, it's a good deal for them.

Now, I don't want any other copywriter to take offense to this statement, but the question for potential members isn't "Can other copywriters figure out how I'm accomplishing it."

The question is if the copy is worth it---for $497 (Platinum level), $197 Gold level), and $97 (standard level), for the quality, it is worth it especially for cash-strapped marketers during the economic downturn. For the quality that I just posted, some copywriters would charge $1,000+ for it. They should. Any copywriter that has skills should get paid well for what they do.

Now, don't get me wrong...will I pump out a 20-30 page letter for you for that price and have it back in 2 days, no I will not. But you will get a high-quality, long letter. I just posted 3 links for examples. All 3 links are for marketers who are members of this forum.

Good copy does take time, so I don't promise to have the copy back in 3-5 days. Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. With the membership being what it is, I never know when I'll get a request for copy. It's a first come, first serve.

A few people did cancel the membership because they wanted the world greatest copy written in 2 days and did not have the patients to wait for it. But for the most part, members like what they get.

I just got a update from Nicholas at nolimitcopy.

My sales letter re-write is 50% complete and he estimates completion by March 24th.

Sounds good to me.

I will follow up to let you know how great it turns out. That's to be fair to him.

Best,
Bill

Yes, there were a few kinks to work out since there's never ever been anything done like this before for copywriting. I still have a few kinks to work out, but for marketers, it's a good deal for them.

Now, I don't want any other copywriter to take offense to this statement, but the question for potential members isn't "Can other copywriters figure out how I'm accomplishing it."

Well said and fair enough Nicholas. Just communicate.

I just received my sales letter from nolimitcopy.com and it is terrific!

You can see it here:

Thanks Nicholas!

PS. Anyone want to make a quick $10 and make a header for it?

I didn't buy this particular membership, but i did buy single salesletters from Nicholas in the past. He did decent work the first few times. But I think he might be in way over his head now, swamped with work from this membership and it is keeping him from honoring commitments he made to customers before he started this membership.

I paid for 2 salesletters and 2 press releases from him (not as part of this membership) and since january i've not been able to get Nicholas to answer my emails or send me a refund. He's completely stopped communicating with me.

So buyer beware. I think this guy is in over his head.

There's a lesson here for both buyers AND copywriters:

You can't buy a Ferrari - or even a Ford Focus - for the price of a second-hand jalopy.

The business model on which this offer was based is not sound. Since the offer was not limited to a specific number of jobs, it stands to reason that the service provider (a) was inexperienced (he should have known better), and (b) he would quickly become overwhelmed and unable to provide a quality service (should have been obvious to buyers).

Nolimitcopy may be able to provide an excellent product when he is not overwhelmed. Unfortunately, by pricing himself for volume over value, he has done himself and his clients no favors.

Lesson Takeaway: What's dirt cheap today, may cost you a mountain in lost revenue tomorrow.
