Hi Copy Gang,

Do any of you know where I can get a list of vegas whales who gamble over 100K per year?

Thx.

$100K a year is not a whale. True "whales" gamble between $10,000 to $1,000,000 per bet. There are about 400-500.

What are you trying to accomplish?

    Hi Rick,

This would be a Dm campaign for tax strategy services. I profiled my higher end clients, and they gamble 10-100K per year. I'd like to target those kind of people. 1MM/bet. wow! i'd love to target them as well. adam

Where can I learn to read the data on that page?

Is there a thread somewhere on this forum that provides a basic grounding on selecting and buying lists? Are there good resources elsewhere on the web?

      Here's a place to start.

It grades lists and then scroll down
and you'll see a screen shot
of what a good list looks like.

You're serious about this, Adam? Or is this a wild hair idea you're playing with?

Very serious. This is something I want to do and will do. Want to join me on another hair brained experiment?

I'm willing to put a couple thousand into testing this theory out.

This (below) is great. Thanks for putting it together, Mack.

Not to pick your brains too much -- (I'm gonna embark on boning up on list buying on my own) -- but, just curious -- does stuff like " $10.00/M" mean the cost for that select slice of the list is 10 dollars per thousand?

Of course, as a total noob, my initial intrigue is about the costs, so that part caught my eye.

That $10 is in addition for that select.

Per m is for 1,000 names.

The top box I drew covers the rental fee for the core list per 1,000 names.

Very common is a minimum of 5,000 names and pricing for that basic number
over a wide range of lists is $600.

          Best,
          Ewen

I think you're going to struggle. $2K won't be enough to crack the nut.

I don't think you quite appreciate a gambler's mindset, Adam. No offense, but taxes are a buzz kill. Getting them to "turn the corner" to consider your offer will be a challenge.

My guess is you'll blow through your $2K faster than a bad night at the tables.

I agree with Rick... but with the right copy... you might be able to get at least one high roller to opt-in.

I'd imagine word-of-mouth makes a HUGE difference here. Get one guy... get them all!
