Hey guys, I have a couple products which I am selling for $14.97. I've got about 3,000 targetted visitors to each site but the conversions are still about 1:250 They are averaging 2:20 on one website and 2:05 on the other website. The copy is very long either. What part of my sales copy do you think would need to be focused on improving? Obviously, the headlines are doing their job if the traffic is spending this much time. I'm thinking I need to work on my call to action, but I would love to hear suggestions (I realize suggestions will be limited due to the fact that the actual copy is not provided) |

The areas to look at most critically are the headlines, the substance of the offer, and the order-form area. |

Thanks for the reply. I believe the substance is good (I will seek to make it amazing) but maybe the call to action needs to be improved

I also couldn't help wondering, when I read your o.p., and particularly given how long visitors are staying, whether you might possibly make more sales at $27 or even $47 than at $14.97. Stranger things have happened. But impossible to know without seeing it.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Yeah, I've completely revamped my copy using a slightly different layout (i've saved the last layout just in case this one is a disaster) Yeah, I definitely do build it up. When I was reading my copy, I think the disconnect is when I state the price. I end the story I'm telling pretty abruptly, give them the price and the order button with the guarantee all in one swift move. That's probably where people get shaken out of the "trance" of the story and I probably left most people thinking "....what just happened" after finishing the page. I've improved on this, but testing it is the only thing that will make certain it's better. Also, maybe I should think about raising the price point as well... That way I could also put it on CB or something and get some affiliates. hmmmm... |

I had a similar situation with a relatively long sales page, the average amount of time on the site was about 1.5 minutes but the conversion rate was horrible. I added a lightbox optin form and have had excellent results.

Maybe it's too cheap. Have you tried a higher price? I did a price test for $12, $17, $27 for my product - and more people would buy the higher the price...you may want to try this -
