I want to hire a copywriter

Hy all,
I finally decided to stop waisting money on cheap copywriters, and hire a serious one, with lot of experience, and a good portfolio.
So here i am looking to hire one The product will be either in IM niche or in weight loss niche.. i have 2 .. don t know which of them i will be using it.
Anyway my budget is from 5k to 10-12k.

Well, I suppose I would fall into that "cheap copywriters" category. I keep climbing each day, maybe eventually I'll finally get that portfolio of mini-articles I've written put together and move on up to something much nicer and a bit more professional eh?

Mrs Auspicious... you're not a cheap copywriter...

You're a cheap ARTICLE writer. He's not looking to spend 5 figures on an assortment of articles. He's looking for sales copy. Words that when put together in the right way, put money in his pocket. Not seo placement... not kudos from others in the market... Actual money in his pocket.

Those who write sales copy are "copywriters."

The only way you could move from what you do to what a copywriter does is to be trained in it. It certainly doesn't come from getting better at article writing.

Yes, exactly That is why I am attending the university.. My post isn't perfectly clear because I was rushing however I was actually being sarcastic in the sense that so many people who do what I do at the moment (write articles) think they can fulfill the CopyWriter's shoes. I have one semester left in the state college and I am enrolled at the University and have taken a few "prep" courses, but yes you are certainly right, I didn't mean I was going to jump to a CopyWriter by writing better articles. I meant I should probably conquer writing better articles then move on to something more professional (IE. CopyWriting).

Hey Tom,

You aught to decide what product you're going with first.

A lot of the better copywriters tend to specialize in one or two markets... Which is why they tend to be better.

Mrsauspicious... You might want to look into a couple books aside from college. The problem with college is they are often very bad at teaching direct response copywriting.

This is really just a suggestion to help but look into some of the books that are always mentioned on this board. They'll help you 1,000 times more than a professor.

Ehh I kinda gathered that they weren't going to be much help after I took the prep courses and the professor just read directly from the source book LOL. I'm majoring in Psychology & Sociology with a minor in Business Management (that's where the copywrit courses come in) and its only 12 more hours to get the copywriting hours so I figured why not. There are about 3 ladies I know that actually do copywriting and 2 of them had schooling and swear by it, the other says she learned more from her first job than school ever even attempted to teach her. <<sigh>> the sadness of required education for certain qualifications.

I will be absolutely certain to grab up some books. I've read a few e-books so far but they kinda make me
