Default Yellow Highlighting With Publisher (copy formatting)?

Ola,

I'm doing a "graphic heavy" sales letter and so thought I'd use Microsoft Publisher, but can't seem to work out how you yellow highlight lines of text... You don't happen to know, do you?

Cheers,

Colm

Hi...as far as I know there's no text highlighting function in Publisher, but I have an older copy.

See if you can highlight the text with your mouse, and change the background color of that area to a bright yellow.

I don't have publisher but that's how it's done in MS Word

Eww, what a stress...

...So I managed to find a way to do this (for anyone who cares):

#1 Create a rectangle (of the required size) with the rectangle tool.

#2 Right-click, format color of said rectangle (usually to yellow)

#3 Click the "arrange" tab and change it's order to put it behind (send it to the back) the text.

And 20 hours later you've highlighted your text yellow! This is for Publisher 2007 by the way, Word 2007 actually has a button exclusively for highlighting which is handy.

Very clever! I didn't even think of that. You learned something and taught a few of us something, too. Good job.
