Filthy Farmgirl makes organic soaps that are natural and vegan-friendly.

Filthy Farmgirl - Filthy Farmgirl

As you can see, they have a unique hook with their branding, packaging and product titles. They do a decent job of explaining their philosophy here:

Filthy Farmgirl - Live Nakedly!

However, I think many brands like this leave a lot on the table. I'd expand their story to show the history of the company, who started it, how they thought of the name, what prompted them to develop the products, how they got started from nothing, where they made their first sales, how they expanded, etc.

The "why" of a company like this is as important to the customer as the hook. They'll gladly pay more if they like the products, love the personality and their belief systems line up.

They say, "Soap in not just about getting clean, it's about loving your body and the earth." I would build on that world view to create a stronger customer story.

Yea, I get it that sex sells... but sexualizing soap? I don't know about that. Though the Egg Nog scented soap sounds tempting... not because it's called "Naughty Balls" but because I just like Egg Nog.

I think A LOT of these ecommerce type stores are always leaving money on the table. But then again, I've never tried it - so my opinion is probably irrelevant. I agree though, being able to engage with your audience is super important when selling physical products.

I only know how to set up sales funnels with OTO's, I'll stick to what I'm good at

  • I liked it.

Sex always has and always will sell.

    The retro packaging is good

I liked the "organic, natural no chemicals..." - but then it seemed to go a touch "politically correct" or a bit "new agey" or whatever...

Which kind of disconnected from the Filthy Farmgirls (etc.) theme.

I would prefer they do what Joe suggested and expand on the history (there has got to be so much good stuff there - a copywriters dream).

And I wouldn't play too heavily on the save the world speech.

    Lightly does it.
