Researchers have tested and concluded their is a single most persuasive word when communicating with others and when selling to others. This single word can cause someone to change there mind in an instant, because you'll have a valid reason for your argument.

Using words like "Amazing", "Awesome", "Incredible", etc, make your persuasive argument look like a tired, hyped up, childish, sales letter, that can have your letter skipped over in a heart beat- and many amateur writers do this because they really don't know what they're doing.

Contrary to popular belief, many people agree, "You" or "Free" is the single most persuasive word that a writer or communicator can use at their disposal, and that could not be further from the truth.

      Yes, because is the single most persuasive word. It is, because - after the word "because" should come some form of reasoning or logic. Don't remember the exact study, but "because" was the clear winner.

        Because is a great word. Bencivenga called it the most powerful 7 letter word there is. It is the key to 'reason why' copy and you will find it in every piece I write. But...

        Its not the most persuasive word. Direct mailers have known for years that the one word that demands attention is your own name.

          True your own name does demand the most attention, as many direct marketers know, but as far as persuading someone to buy something or to agree with you "because" is #1 as concluded by researchers and studies.

          Just because you say my name doesn't mean I'll buy something, although you will get my attention.
