Just put this blog post together about what's wrong with email newsletters in my opinion. Would love to know what you guys think.

Your premise is okay... obviously interesting is better than boring.

But I recommend taking email newsletter writing a step further...

People love being entertained more than taught. If you don't believe it, compare the salaries of teachers and entertainers.

Give subscribers what they want... entertain them. And then at the end of each email transition to a short section of text that gets the click.

You have hit on some great ideas that a reader can run with to improve their newsletter! You might also want to include a link to an example --
Check this out to see a great example of the kind of video I'm talking about -- and have the link open in a new window.

You could also create a checklist (they click to your website to get) on how to create a more profitable newsletter.

I like your headline -- made me want to click and read!

Ooops! Didn't read far enough. Thanks -- and maybe other readers would miss that too! My eyes stopped with that final ending sentence, and assumed the rest was ads for something! Perhaps in the text you could just say: Check out examples and grab some great resources at the end of this article.
    Just a thought!
    Loved the article!! :-)
