Seeking Advice on Headline for Free Event

Hi Guys

I have written a copy for my upcoming cancer prevention seminar but I'm undecided about an attention grabbing headline and would appreciate your input. These are the ones I've been toying with:

- The Path to Preventing Cancer
- How to Dramatically Reduce the Risk of Developing Cancer
- Cancer Prevention Seminar

I've had tremendous feedback from the talks I've given so far but I want to fill the room for my next event as I've been falling short on marketing my events (marketing is a bit of a mindfield to me). I'm also open to other suggestions.

Both Macmillan Cancer Support and Cancer Research UK have both announced that the cancer rate will soon hit 1 in 2 people..... something needs to be done about this and I have a lot of life saving information to share.

What did those who've given positive feedback say? Was there a common theme?

Write down everything you remember them saying.

I'll bet there's a great headline hook in there.

Reading the rest of the copy would help to determine the best headline
since they all go together. Judging a headline on it own merit as just
"attention getting" may still not give you the best headline for your
    marketing message.

Ewen, that's funny because I was also thinking about "Attend this Seminar or Die of Cancer"!

Alex, I do have a pile of feedback forms so I may go through them again to see if there's anything I can use. Thanks for the suggestion.

I asked for suggestions because I want to send out the details tomorrow as the event is coming up.

My headline was bit of a joke, please don't use it.

Is your material for those that have cancer and their loved one's,
or for those that don't have cancer?

Prevention can be a tough sell. So if you have a way of reframing the material as a now-thing instead of a someday-thing, that would help.

The headlines you listed seem fairly pedestrian to me.

I'd like to help you develop an eyeball-grabbing headline, but I don't have enough to go on. Sorry.

      These are all really generic.

From the limited information we have to go on I'd say your best is using "1 in 2 people"... make it personal... emotional... urgent... realistic.

    You're not getting it.

People already know cancer is on the rise and kills lots of people. Your headlines are just stating the obvious.

What specific information are you teaching that people haven't heard before? What's the 'big idea' that's going to stop them dead in their tracks and make them want to hear what you've got to say?

Ok. I see your point. I give a 2-hour talk and from the feedback I've received, most of the information I share is new and quite shocking to the audience so I'll go through my presentation and see what I can use in a headline.
