Advancement in personalization

This came from a Todd Brown email.

It was a promo for a free training series with himself,
Rich Schefren and Russel Brunson.

So after, I'm not sure how many emails about it,
I got one saying "where's Ewen?".

Then click on the link inside, and there's whole image above the fold
with Rich and Todd with there hands up and hunched
shoulders looking at each other saying, "where's Ewen?".

I didn't think it felt cheesy, in fact I was super impressed.

Anybody seen this done?

Do you know the technology behind it to make it happen?

Best,
Doctor E. Vile

I see big Jason Henderson is behind it,
he's super switched on to email marketing.

Couple of things I noticed on his sales page is the live chat comes up,
must help, or he wouldn't be doing it.

Secondly the training he provides should be excellent.
Without it, I can see it being used badly and it would spoil it for everybody.

Unless I'm reading the post wrong, it sounds like a simple "data merge", doctor vile ... Most mass-email software can do that. Sets a merge field in the subject line (or wherever) to insert your name (or any other bit of info from your entry in their database...)
