Titans DVD Sales letter. Your opinions requested

I had to google Parris Lampropoulos's name for a post I just did (i have a hard time spelling), and noticed this:

Titans of Direct Response

I know in a previous post we ripped apart the titans event sales copy, now we can examine the dvd sales letter.

What do you think?

Ready to pony up 2k?

Adam

the link again is:

The section on Dan Kennedy whetted my appetite the most
because it lead to me to believe he delivered the most meat
    compared to the others.

Damn I am heavily debating buying this right now. I really don't think $2k is bad at all for what you would get content wise from this.

    Where's your opinion, o.p.?

Anyway, I think you're gonna get more:

    ...than critique.

It's only fair I guess, because as it turns out the guy who likely wrote the piece posts here...

I will point out, however, that there's a typo right in paragraph four ("totalingover") ...

Not everyone wants a critique, but everyone wants to know about typos in their copy...(presumably...)

I'm so over-whelmed with this copy.

Perhaps it's because their is SO much content from so many greats.

It feels very dense to me.

      It's almost too much meat.

And that's the problem with life:

What is exciting, fun, thrilling....doesn't last long.

This seminar is about principles and the application of them. With a story here and there.

It's really for people who do shit. Like actually implement.

      Which, is boring.

But, if you care about making money, then you just scroll down and hit the buy button.

      Again, it's really meat-y.

To me, the copy is just dry. Even with all the meat, the copy could be more exciting.

I don't like the hook, aka Big Idea here: "do this, don't do this".

Which, btw, is important stuff to know.

I think the buyer of this collection is a serious student who wants a lot of meat.

I think it's Roy Furr -- not one of "the Titans" billed at the event....

This letter is "from the desk of Brian Kurtz" just like the other Titans sales letter (which Roy wrote), so I'm assuming Roy Furr wrote this one too..

That's my understanding as well... although I'm sure each Titan -- including Brian -- had at least an opportunity to approve "their" sections and suggest revisions.

    Roy Furr wrote it.

"There's a reason I was chosen to write the sales copy for Titans -- the biggest direct response event of the decade." Source.

And no he doesn't post here.

    Right?

Titans is a GREAT program. I didn't go, but I did send 2 from my team. The two binders and 30 years worth of boardroom controls that fueled a 100 million dollar direct response infoproduct business is PURE GOLD.

Yeah, he posts here. He popped into the thread about his other Titans sales letter -- http://www.warriorforum.com/copywrit...es-letter.html...

Hasn't been back since October 2014, but he's been a member since 2008, according to his profile...

Im sure there would be some great content but who is getting targeted with the sales page when Youtube only shows 17 views for the first introduction video....

Is everyone just pausing and reading the copy?

Interesting observation. Looks like the vid was just uploaded on 4/15, tho... Maybe the letter hasn't been much promoted yet.

Let's see if they ultimately remove the view counter...

How would they send traffic to the letter anyway? Adwords? Facebook? Email marketing? Organic stuff like the links here?

I read about 1/4 through the letter. Great copy.

But I couldn't help but think, "Damn, if they had just shown me some clips and soundbites from the actual event, I bet a lot of this copy isn't even needed."

How do you own the content... and not give a sneak peak above the fold? Create a proper trailer. That right there would dramatically increase engagement and conversions.
