It's sad they're renaming historic landmarks just to boost tourism.

      We're not re-naming them.

The campaign is brilliant. Got 300 million Chinese viewing it, calls for participation and had a measurable result. 27% increase in visits to the UK. So one could conservatively call that £125 million in increased revenue per annum ongoing.

Maybe Ogilvy & Mather have some sort of history of knowing what the heck they are doing?

          No problem.

Two years ago The Government ran Ads in Romania and Bulgaria to let everyone know how crap The UK is.

Horrible food, weather, women, low paid jobs etc.

Romania and Bulgaria Governments considered it racist as we were - and still are, trying to stop people from those countries coming here.

It would be like US taking Ads out in Mexico to let everyone know how awful the US was.

Well we actually did it. Do you think Obama would do it?

          Don't answer

This really is brilliant creative strategy, isn't it?

Unless you really appreciated Chinese culture, there's no way you could have predicted.

I love the integration of social media marketing.

Thanks for bringing it to our attention, Mal.
