What style of writing does Viralnova (...and viral sites like Upworthy) use for its headlines to make it so effective in getting clicks and traffic?

      They're called "Clickbait" headlines. All they're designed to do is get you to click and give websites page impressions and views which fuels their advertising revenue, and they do it by using curiosity and intrigue-based lines.
