The book is still under copyright protection. Downloading a pirated copy would be a violation of U.S. Copyright law.

Right. You wouldn't want to get arrested. And believe me, the authorities WILL fly all the way to Ahmedabad to put the cuffs on you. And fly you back to the U.S. for trial. And I don't even want to tell you about the punishment. (You'd have nightmares. )

...But if all that doesn't deter you, just try google. The pdf is all over the place.

Try including .pdf in your search phrase...

    But remember, you were warned!...

I've often wondered how pirated copies are so easily available. I'd think a publisher of a book that goes for nearly $100 would have enough motive to shut them down. But, then again maybe it comes down to what others said about PDF versions of books being a PITA. Those that download it likely aren't going to get much value out of it anyway.

I'm still wondering why this was asked here.

Thanks for letting us, the forum and the Mods know, in your first post, you have no problem stealing other peoples intellectual property and believing nothing ever happens, because you didn't hear about it.

To bring you up to speed I've provided this link:

Bet Shawn Fanning would disagree with your conclusion. Especially after Metallica got finished with him.

  • So…it's been said that Breakthrough Advertising was the most stolen library book.

I was told it was THE ultimate copywriting book - almost a secret treasure owned by the lucky select few - who could refer to it and write astonishingly great copy.

Btw - It is the ultimate - not only for copy but also for marketing - with priceless details you'll never likely to find anywhere else.

And I had to wait about 17 years to get mine (it was "unavailable" for eons and yes you've guessed the libraries didn't have it).

When Boardroom published it I threw the $95.00 at them at the speed of light.

Took about 5 reads before I even began to understand it.

But when I did - it propelled my illustrious copywriting career to levels I never thought I could reach.

It's not for me to make any moral judgements about grabbing a pirate pdf.

Integrity, conscience, karma or whatever you believe in deals with all of that.

But I would say if ever a "how to write copy" book was worth buying Breakthrough Advertising is that book.

And it's a f***** lot easier and far more comfortable reading the physical book instead of being hunched up, back and neck aching endlessly scrolling down a computer screen.

    Steve

P.S. But Steve, what if they print it out and read it?

For goodness sake with paper and ink costs and an extra 10,000 miles on your soon to be knackered printer - you might as well just buy the book.

    I don't know. I bought my hard copy for $95. Best $95 I spent
    on copywriting training.

Oh, I wasn't aware about copyright.

    I thought, it's free.

Firstly, as others have said, it's a pretty intense book. And it also assumes you already have a decent standard of writing. If you don't have that you should start much lower down the scale - The Gary Halbert Letter will be a fantastic start and is completely free, so no copyright issues for you to (not) worry over.

Secondly, you should always respect the intellectual property of the copywriter. Yes, Gene Schwartz is no longer with us, but his estate deserves whatever royalties are due on every sale. Just think how you'd feel if you created a report/book/whatever and instead of getting rewarded with the royalties/revenue, it was being downloaded on a torrent site.

By all means swipe, try not to copy, and never steal.

    • Yuvrajsinh,

Do yourself a huge favor and invest in your education. Never cut corners or find ways to get free training, because free training is not in depth and is always kept at the beginner's or layman's levels.

Furthermore, should you find a free pdf copy, you'll read it once or only get part way through it before you put it down...

...But the moment you purchase that book, you will make every effort to read that book from cover to cover. There is also a good possibility you'll read that book more than once.

      It's your call...

...Free with no commitment or Buy to invest in your future.

Before I end my post, I'll share 2 examples of what investing in my future brought me.

Before I read Breakthrough Advertising I hated research. After I read it I long for research.

Before I read Breakthrough Advertising sales letters were meaningless, long and boring. After reading it and learning of "Gradualization" now I have a solid grasp of a sales letter's structure.

      Thanks Pines.

I've read The Gary Halbert Letter. It's amazing.

I've decided to buy Breakthrough Advertising as of this thread's conclusion.

      Thank you.

      • Someone reading this thread sent me a message about how to get in touch with Brian about Breakthrough Advertising.

I think your message got deleted by accident. I found the information you were asking for.

        Shoot me another message.

P.S. I'm not as frequent coming here as I once was, due to business demands. But I do stop in from time to time.

I found out that an ebook is available through the Google play store for next to nothing. It has the same image as the Russian language version of the print book, and is by the same publisher, however I can verify that the book is in English. I think that it cost me about $3.50, so its a steal at that price if you only want the information and not the physical book.

    • Bill,

Why on earth would you recommend this person purchase a pirated version of the book?

Only Brian Kurtz is the authorized copyright owner of this publication and has not released the book in any different format.

For the record it is NOT OKAY TO STEAL OR PURCHASE PIRATED MATERIAL!!! Dumbass!!!
