Any Sneakerhead Copwriters?

Are there any copywriters here that are big into the show game with in depth knowedge of Jordans, Retros, etc?

          I was at the Brooklyn Museum last weekend and caught the exhibit, "The Rise of Sneaker Culture".

          They had kicks on display by Alexander McQueen and Jimmy Choo, and a pair inspired by Family Guy's Stewie Griffin, that recently sold for over $15k on eBay.

          Some would absolutely call it high fashion.

          The line between sportswear and high fashion is increasingly blurry.

          It's a dialogue that I find super-interesting.

          Runway designer Rick Owens makes Italian boots inspired by chunky sneakers, and than collaborates with Adidas to actually make chunky sneakers. Many high-end fashion designers pair runway fare with simple Vans or Nike.

          While some manufacturers knock off designer shoes for cheap, the Belgian label Margiela does the exact opposite. They recreate cheap sneakers they find in thrift stores in luxury leathers, and those shoes end up costing much more than the original.

          Meanwhile some limited-edition Nikes end up going for more than a pair of Louboutin heels on the secondhand market.

          Wild stuff.
