Fake copywriter...beware!

There many things that are fake like money, cellphones, clothes and etc. copywriters has fake too. I meet a person online pretending to be a writer and promise to deliver my order on time. She seems to be so confident so I trust to give her small project but when time arrives she has not even written a single word. She said shes committed to work but why she didn't written any single word at all ? A true writer has a passion and can write anything from just one single word alone.

Plus, a true writer can't leave projects alone! I know I can't. I always want to go back and refine them

And...a true copywriter will write even when there are no projects to do for clients...to "keep the blade sharp".

I wouldn't stick up for a person who didn't deliver when they promised. But I will say that just because a copywriter hasn't written anything yet, doesn't mean they haven't been working. Copywriting takes more than just putting the pen to paper.

    It's like a rocket launching...

All of the hard work is done before you even begin writing.

I normally have 20-30 pages of notes before I write a single word of the copy.

Gotta agree with Dave and Eric.

The hard part is the thinking, strategy etc...

If the writer you hired hasn't written a single thing by a mutually agreed upon deadline then there is definitely a problem, especially if you can't get her to communicate with you about her progress. If, however, you are asking to see what she's written before the deadline, you need to take a breath Some writers like to do all of their thinking and planning first and then do the writing with the deadline looming--the pressure of the deadline acts as a sort of inspiration. Infuriating? Sure, but not all writers work the same way. As others have stated, it's the strategy that is often the hardest, not the words themselves

You could always ask her to send along some of her notes or her initial thoughts on your project.
