You're talking about CopyRIGHTing. This is CopyWRITING. That said, you can't copyright other people's videos. If you take someone's video and post it on your channel without permission, not only will your video be taken down, but your account banned as well.

    Make original content.

    Wrong forum...

This forum is about "copywriting" not "copyrights"

    As for your youtube question.

You can create playlists and share someone else's content on your channel.

Here's a video on it - just skip the ad -

    Hope that helps.

    Kind regards,

    Ozi

What you want to do, can be done. It's not hard to find the software for it. But, it is against YouTube's TOS. The playlist will work as above.

      No, it's not legal.

You want advice on legality, talk to a lawyer rather than asking ill-informed strangers on a forum.

Hmm, maybe I am wrong, but YouTube is social website and we all have a possibility to follow from different videos and share it too! If this public viewing and this owner expanded the law review, you can downed it! And be so careful, you are a stranger on the forum too!!!

It is illegal to download youtube videos to then re-upload to your own channel.

I am not a lawyer. But I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Yeah, except I'm not giving someone legal advice on a forum since I'm not a lawyer.

And I'm pretty sure my statistics (see those 1k+ posts/thanks up there by my name?) demonstrate that members of this forum find my input at least a tiny bit valuable.

A lesson for anyone out there watching, whether your first language is English, you're from another country, or whatever...

Advising someone that something is perfectly legal and OK to do IS IN FACT GIVING LEGAL ADVICE.

Someone that actually 1) has experience with intellectual property law and/or lawyers and 2) runs a business and 3) cares about up-and-comers's outcomes will almost NEVER advise you "sure, that's OK and totally legal".

There may be things you're not telling us that don't give us the full picture. And by the way, most of us are COPYWRITERS and not lawyers.

I've taken some IP classes, but I don't profess to know the ins and outs the way an intellectual property or business lawyer does.

If you're asking if it's legal, you may want to reconsider your motives. I'm pretty sure most of you asking about legality are walking the line of it somehow and want permission to jump off the cliff.

I know a few of you out there legitimately want to cover your bases, but you seem to be drowned out by get rich quick schemers and people who don't know any better.

          End rant.

It's absolutely illegal, you can't upload someone video without their permission. Try to make your own video and safe your channel.
