Ho Much Do Top Copywriters Charge?

I can't give you answer about the amount they charge, because it is very different for every copywriter and project.
But it is usually hourly.

I'm pretty sure that top copywriters would not be happy doing a revenue share because there's no guarantees of them getting paid at all. This is especially the case because any marketer who knows they are going to get results would rather pay the writer up front anyway.

In terms of how much does a good writer charge, there's no set answer because good writers could charge anything from $10-$100+ per hour.

When I was coming up as a copywriter, I charged $100 for a sales letter and I wrote plenty of WSOTD and JVZoo POTD sales letters. So you can get a good writer for a reasonable price if you catch someone at the start of their career.

That said, had I charged $500 per letter, I could've obviously spent a lot more time on the work and done an even better job. That's why you generally get what you pay for. If you pay low cost, you're probably not going to be given so much time on the job.

Top copywriters can charge tens of thousands of dollars for a single sales letter.

In my experience a skilled copywriter will charge at least $50 per hour.

As with almost everything else, you typically get what you pay for. If you spend $10,000 on a sales letter you are almost certainly going to get something that is far superior to something you paid $500 for.

If you don't know how to write sales copy, I would definitely leave it to a professional otherwise you could end up with a product you can't sell.

It's not uncommon to see a consult arrangement + fixed fee + backend proposal.

Top copywriters don't work hourly... period.

Regarding fee, top copywriters charge a wide range... $10K and up. In a few cases, WAY up.

You can get a VSL that will convert from a very good copywriter in the $5K-$6K range.

Some copywriters insist on royalties, others don't.

It depends on your framework. I charge 100$ per hour. But this fee is covered by a detailed research, several split testing like community pool, A/B or Group discussion.

You can charge as low as 10$ or worth than 100$ - if you think your hourly will cover it.

But, holy guacamole...having that high rate may be great sometimes, especially when it comes to find high-quality clients.

As far as I know, top copywriters in sites like Freelancer charge between 100 and 150 USD per hour, but as other have mentioned here, not all the copywriters work under hours fee.

An extremely good copywriter, could charge more than 5000 USD for writing an ebook (although this would be ghostwriting to be exacts).
