Reviving Large List - Looking For Help

I'll try to keep this short...

I have a list of ~ 15,000 people that have signed up for a free report about natural solutions to their dog's allergy problems. The report is average at best.

This list is not monetized well at all, in fact it isn't making me any money.

I'm looking for advice on how to revive it and monetize it and how to find a good copy writer.

Please don't respond with something like, hey you should send them free stuff then sell them stuff. I know that...

I'm looking for advice on finding a quality copywriter who will not only write copy, but identify products to offer. I'm willing to source products and sell direct, but I don't really know how to source the products.

I also have a website that gets quite a lot of traffic that is not earning anywhere near its potential. Is it best to have one copy writer evaluate and update so things are harmonious between site and email? Obvious answer is yes, but I want to get some thoughts on this.

Thanks,
Paul

The list has been built mainly over the last 12-18 months, gets new subscribers everyday.

    Nothing to see here

May be too soon for a copywriter. Perhaps a marketer with experience. I'll give you my opinion based only on the information here, so take it with a grain of salt.

You KNOW people have a dog with an allergy, or so they think, isn't that the reason they got the report? And you know they seek natural solutions, right?

First thing I suggest is have the report redone, and give them another thing to do, for me, I would want to know the breed or type of dog, and their location.

In the report, I'd have several one page sections talking about the different allergies for each breed and the different seasonal as well as location differences. Maybe, offer a small low cost HOTSHEET created just for that breed and location. Not hard, simple to do one page hotsheets.

The reason I would do this, it gives me very VALUABLE information, and a chance to capture their home address, or at least region, and present products just for them, or so it would seem.

Take a small poodle in the Great Lakes Region vs one in FL. The one in FL probably wouldn't need a Winter Vest, and when Spring comes, different allergens come with it, so, for example my hotsheet would be...

Allergies French Poodles get in Michigan and how to prevent them. Might be a tad bit too specific. BUT, dog owners like breed specific advice. So give them just for them, it will feel customized, and give you insight into other products, I guarantee a poodle owner is a better target for sweater than a hunting dog, unless he wears camouflage.

Some breeds are more susceptible to joint damage with their allergies, so a supplement for the dog could be an ongoing order, they buy every 90 days or so.

The best advice I can give you here is, don't look at your list AS A LIST.

Treat them as individual dog owners, get them to give you more info, especially the breed and their location. Then you tweak your offers to a specific PERSON, not a list....and there could be 1500 PEOPLE with a poodle on your list, who now think you are specifically talking about them.

I hope you see the difference. LISTS are just cash signs. PEOPLE who love their pets, need help. So help them.
