Review my presale please

17 replies
Hi everyone.

I'm in the process of testing article marketing out.

The process goes like this:

Article directory -> Presale -> Offer

So, I'm writing a bunch of articles and lead them to my presale. Now, this is all very good, but I'm not that experienced with preselling.

If you got the time, please take a quick look at my presell page and give my some pointers. I'll appriciate it.

My presell is here: Get Your Girlfriend Back

And the offer I'm promoting is here: How To Get Your Ex Girlfriend Back (Get or Win Her Back)

Looking forward to hear from you guys

    Hey hjalte81,

    The presell page unfortunately to me looked like a sales page. In my opinion a better concept of a presell page might be something like having a free video that shares some tips on how to get the girl back and then at the end of sharing the valuable tips invite them to learn X, Y, and Z on your sales page.

    Hi Daniel..
    I'm using a WP salespage theme, I thought that it would be better, without all the links.

    Do you think it's better to make it more like a classic blog?

      I thought the salespage looked fine, I was commenting on the presell page. I just know that my favorite type of presell pages usually share a great lesson and then offer solutions to problems at the end of giving the lesson. So if you did create a blog with a bunch of great presell content, then I think this would work. I know that Frank Kern created a video teaching this concept perfectly. I think he called it the triangle of trust. I tried to search the video on his blog but couldn't find it. Maybe someone else remembers what I am talking about, but he basically taught the concept of putting videos on your blog as presells and how it prepares people for the sales page.

        Yes, I'm with you on the presales page. It's a WP blog with a salesletter theme

        I'll put some effort into finding that video. Thanks a lot mate.

        So, I think I'll buy a domain name that's better suited to host a lot of reviews and then use another theme.

        My concern is that people might click sidebar links and blog title and then get led away from the presale.

        I don't want to give the visitors to many options of getting away

          So are you sending your traffic to your presell page or your sales page? I just know that you usually send different traffic to different pages. For example, in email marketing, a lot of the time the gurus will send the email traffic to a presell page. But if you are driving social media traffic to your web pages, then the social media content is what usually acts as your presell, so it's kind of silly not to send social media traffic to your sales page or squeeze page in my opinion. And with PPC traffic? That's the tough one. With PPC traffic I would plan on sending my traffic to either page depending on the niche, or depending on the keyword. For example, if somebody searched "buy online dating book," you would obviously want to send them straight to the sales page. But if someone typed in "tips to get my girl back," then you might end up better off sending them to a presell page and maybe even trying to get them on an autoresponder.

    Okay.. in this case, this is what happens:

    I submit articles about the niche to ezinearticles (e.g. how to get back with your girfriend).

    Then in the ressource box, i lead them to my blog (Get Your Girlfriend Back).

    From my blog, the idea is that they should click trough, and end up on the product site (which is not mine, btw)

    Make sense?

      My initial thoughts:
      1. "Stop trying and read this instead!" I don't like the first line of your presell page. It is confusing and I don't think it provides any value.

      2. Center your graphics on the page.

      3. If you want, add the audio to your site above the graphics with this code:

      <br><center> <script language="JavaScript" src="http://www.exgirlfriendguru.com/cb/audio/audio-player.js"></script>
      <object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="http://www.exgirlfriendguru.com/cb/audio/player.swf" id="audioplayer1" height="24" width="290">
      <param name="movie" value="http://www.exgirlfriendguru.com/cb/audio/player.swf">
      <param name="FlashVars" value="playerID=1&amp;autostart=yes&amp;soundFile= http://www.exgirlfriendguru.com/cb/audio/intro.mp3">
      <param name="quality" value="high"><param name="menu" value="false">
      <param name="wmode" value="transparent"></object>
      </center><br>

      4. Get rid of everything below the graphics and put a big "Read More..." button that takes them to your sales page.

      5. Use a link cloaker.

          It is helpful

          However, if you wouldn't call it preselling, then what would you call it?

        Cool. thanks.

        One question though, when you say link cloaker, do you mean a script that put the vendors site in a iframe (or something like that)?

        I didn't thought that was allowed with CB products?

        Anyways, thanks for the critique

          You can get a link cloaker that does not use iframes. The Free skaDoogle Link Cloaker has 3 cloaking methods. The one you want is the Stealth Mode.

          Here is an example link to your hoplink page that sets the cookie in the background then goes directly to the sales page http://skadoogle.com/go!y

          This hides your afiliate id.

    In my opinion, and some may disagree, I believe that article marketing traffic in a big way will act as your presell, and what I think works best with article traffic is to either send them straight to a pitch page or to send them to a lead capture page. In this case, you might be better off sending them to a lead capture page, then you can try and sell to them for as long as they have relationship problems (which will likely be forever if they are human!)

      Thanks for the comment.. I've done that a lot in the past, put didn't have great success with it.

      My idea here is kinda like bum marketing, but instead of e.g squidoo I want to use my own domain.

      I want to test some things out and if it works I'll implement it in my overall marketing plan.

      However, my biggest challenge is preselling. I find it very hard :confused:

    You have half a dozen typos on that page. The funniest is
    First of all, this is not a "Feel Goof Manual"

    Presales needs to follow "reluctant hero" and "us vs them" formula to grab my attention.

    Sales page locks my IE totally.

    I have no agenda but to help those in the same situation. This I feel will pay the bills.
