Stop and read this perfect example of power copy

Got your attention, didn't I?

But it didn't start there... the author first heard about such things at

https://frankkern.com/blog/how-to-sell-in-articles/

And its tailored to the new slant.

Your takeaway?

"Writing copy is not rocket science

When you strip away the power words, open loops and other copywriting tricks, it comes down to one thing

presenting a solution to your customers problem.

When you do that it doesnt feel like youre tricking someone into buying something.

Youre helping them.

So there you go."

This should really get you thinking. Enjoy!

I know that l will probably get it for saying that, but the satire, was worth it!

    Barb; I think it is.

Frank Kern is selling something. He has to say writing copy is easy.

He can't say "Read copywriting books for ten years, and write ads until your fingers bleed...and eventually you'll figure it out."

Really? What's easier than telling your story - simply, succinctly and honestly?

If you're selling, paint a picture and put the reader in it.

If you can speak, you can write copy. No rocket science involved.

Granted - not everyone can speak, engagingly. lol

      Frank

P.S. This post was mainly to annoy you. It has been a slow day. :-(

I thought that all Frank Kern needs to say is "Writing Sales Copy is Easy, and Buy My Sh**"!

He's almost always selling something.... when he is not selling, he's playing rhythm guitar for Y& T.... :-)

I can assure you that the author DID NOT "first hear" about the 5 ways from Kern's article. Matt has been a copywriter for a long time... and a very good one at that.

The 5 ways are well known to all experienced copywriters.

His blog post restated the 5 ways in his own words. The disclaimer was his light-hearted way of saying where he got the idea for his post.

Yes, it's about grabbing people's attention by presenting something they need or want, or both! About supplying the answers to their problems not tricking them into anything.
