How to use Google Optimizer?
Sorry for posting this here but I've put it in the main forum twice now without a single response. I think split-testing applies more to copywriting anyway, so here goes...
I'm using Google Optimizer to split-test two different site designs. To do this I've set up two complete versions of the site:
Design 1:
index.html
faq.html
contact.html
etc.
Design 2:
index2.html
faq2.html
contact2.html
etc.
Navitation is consistent in each site so the visitor sees the same design no matter where they go.
My first question is:
1. Do I install google's tracking code in each page of the respective site or only on the entry page (almost always "index")? In other words, do they use ccokies to track the visitor no matter where they go?
My second question:
2. Is there an easier way to do this? With a site of 50+ pages this is a lot of work!
