Sales page or Sales letter

Debating between making a landing page or making a google document with a sales letter.

Hi people, I'm helping a client sell their "products". The client in question is a taxi company which is selling transit permits for the taxi drivers.

I've been writing a sales page and uploading it into wordpress or as a google doc and then marketing it through facebook ads. Doubt has been crawling into my mind and I've been thinking that making a flyer as a sales letter could be more effective.

I'm still "fresh" into copywriting so I'd like your opinion on this issue. Thanks!

    Hi Pablo,

Why is doubt crawling into your mind?

What kind of numbers are you seeing for response rates?

If 1000 taxi drivers have seen your sales page in a month, with zero response, then yeah there's probably an issue.

Could be the message you're using (wording)? Could be the offer? The price? The medium? Or a number of other factors. It's pretty hard to tell without seeing the entire funnel, and having more info to look at.

On the other hand, if only 30 or 40 people have seen your sales page, with zero response, then that's really not enough to gauge and measure anything.

How targeted are your ads? Are only taxi drivers in your area seeing them? Or, are you attracting a bunch of curious travelers, who have no need, or interest, in your product?

Also, I don't know your market. But are these permits something taxi drivers in your area need, by law? Or just something that's convenient and they might want? (two very different motivators)

Of course, It never hurts to test another idea. So you should definitely consider testing your flyer as a sales letter idea.

But there's many other factors that come into play, when it comes to creating a compelling sales message that resonates with your audience. So you need to look at more than just the medium your using.

I suspect I won't be the only person suggesting this...why not run a split test?
